After hanging up the phone, I couldn't help but start daydreaming about that day, including meeting my fated mate. I hope I'll have a fated mate. For some reason, when I used to fantasize about a fated mate, I didn't have a specific image in mind. But now, the faces of the twin brothers flashed before my eyes. I shook my head, trying to dismiss this absurd thought. But wait... the twin brothers should still be unmated, and do twin brothers usually share the same mate or have two separate mates? The next moment, one of the faces actually appeared in front of me.

“Not at all. What’s on your mind?” Channary hesitated, smoothing invisible wrinkles from her blouse before continuing. “The girls mentioned you told the class stories about being a twin. They said you have a brother?” Claire nodded, her smile widening at the thought of her twin. “Yes, my brother, Caleb. We’re identical twins, and we’ve always been close. Shared everything growing up—clothes, pranks, you name it.” Channary’s lips curved into a faint smile, but it didn’t quite reach her eyes. “What about… pain?”

“Well, you have double the chance to have one now.” Faye, having walked over, gasped. “You are having twins?!” She yelled. Hudson furrowed his brows more. “What is twins?” Faye scooped Arabella up into her arms. “Hudson, twins means there are two babies in your momma’s tummy.” Hudson gasped, falling into giggles. “Wait, two babies in momma’s tummy?” Arabella shoved Faye off her, being careful of her growing belly.

“Damien! Come join us. I told you he’d show up eventually, Elara. Victor’s twin brother, he travels a lot for their business interests, but he’s family now.” She knew, of course she knew, yet seeing them side by side made my head spin. Identical, yet… not. Damien’s smirk was sharper, his eyes wilder as they landed on me. “Well, hello there,” Damien drawled, pulling out a chair directly across from me. His gaze raked over me slowly, openly appreciative. “You must be the famous Elara, Victor didn’t do you justice.” My cheeks burned, I could feel Victor’s tension radiating beside me. “Nice to meet you,” I managed, my voice barely steady.

I didn’t want to deny that I was head over heels in love with him, both of them with their contrasting characters which brings me to the question of what happened to them to separate brothers…twins even. I was still pondering on it when my phone pinged indicating I had a message.I would likely have ignored it but taking into consideration that I had nothing to do and was practically lazing about I checked my phone and saw a message from an unknown number. I opened the message and read “We should meet up at a location” my eyebrows quirked up as I typed back, I wasn’t about to ignore the message with all the shitty stuffs happening to me, I needed answers. “Who’s this?” the message showed that
