My Arch Nemesis in my Bed
White lights everywhere, fake snow on the tables, ice sculptures that were already starting to melt under the warm hotel lighting.
Riley and I found our assigned table. Naomi was already there in a very pretty red dress that made her look like she’d stepped off a movie screen, but she was staring at her phone instead of looking at us.
“Hey,” I said, sliding into the seat next to her.
She glanced up, gave me the barest nod of acknowledgment, then went back to scrolling through I*******m.
Riley sat across from us, bow tie already slightly crooked. “You look amazing, Naomi.”
