Aelius also said the same thing. It was special enough that they could almost feel each other's emotions; they could tell when one of them was sad or scared. It was baffling to Orpheus and me, since neither of us had any clue why it was so. Yet, despite their bond, I could very well tell when Jiraiya was being naughty or not. And at this point, he had that glint in his eyes.

As Kiran tried to guess the reason for her satisfaction, he felt a tightness in his chest. Looking down, he saw that Jenny's face had turned pale. He realized that Lady Meiji had chosen this moment to attack, intending to disrupt their concentration. "Damn it!" Kiran cursed, breaking free from Lady Meiji's mental control. Despite his efforts, both he and Jenny felt their internal energy become chaotic, ultimately spitting blood and falling unconscious on the bed.
