“And don’t try to lie to me, I’ll confirm whatever you say from Chloe. And if you still choose not to tell me, I’m sure Chloe would be ready to spill everything.” I let out a frustrated sigh. Lying to him would make things only worse. Maybe I just needed to come clean. “Okay, but promise me you won’t get mad.” “I won’t get mad.” I didn’t trust that he wouldn’t get mad. I just knew that he only said it because he wanted me to open up to him. “Okay.” A defeated sigh escaped my lips. “I’m listening.” He stared at me intensely. I closed my eyes and blurted out the words. “I don’t have a wolf. I still haven’t discovered my wolf yet.”

Even through blood loss and adrenaline, I recognize my father's scent and his distinctive fighting style as he tears apart smaller wolves surrounding us. Through the chaos, I spot Tommy's chocolate-brown wolf moving through the bodies and bringing down as many men from Montana as he can. Yet in the chaos. I can’t see Natalie and Harry. I can’t trace them. My wolf is the first to sniff my Mate’s scent in the air, but the relief that floods through me dies the moment I see her. Natalie sits on my front porch surrounded by pack security, crimson blood streaming from a gash near her hairline down her too-pale face. Her clothes are torn, her hands shaking, her eyes holding the kind of trauma I’d

Marking her soft neck and claiming her tiny cunt with his baby maker. Cole had managed to keep his wolf in control till now but now as Elsa dangled in front of him, inviting him to feast over her body to his heart’s content, Cole lost the fight of control with his wolf. As soon as he had finished tying Elsa to the tree, he had let his wolf take the control over his body. Cole had turned into a huge brown wolf with honey colored eyes. His wolf had started breathing deeply and stomping its feet down loudly on the ground. It had stomped over to the dangling body of Elsa and without waiting for another minute, it was buried its nose inside her pussy.

She does not need anything more stress to add to her worry. Alpha Erick waits until Luna Kate, and Alanis are gone. Then he pats me on the arm. "Come on, there is one thing about these wolves that is not like us," Alpha Erick says. I follow him into the house where Walter is lying on the floor, dead, covered in blood. He stands over Walter waiting for something.

I focus a bit more and notice that one of the wolves is Sylas; he has to be fighting Laslo. Sylas is a huge gray wolf, bigger than Laslo’s white wolf. Laslo’s wolf is swiping at Sylas, and his claws connect here and there. Sylas twists his body and kicks Laslo’s wolf, sending it flying into a tree. Laslo’s wolf lays at the base of the tree, sprawled out. Sylas marches to the tree base and hovers over Laslo’s wolf, snarling and biting. His jaw reaches over and grabs at the white wolf’s neck.

Elder Arlo nodded firmly. “It fits. Kate Wilson gradually earned the affection of this pack. Only after everyone trusted her, did she reveal the existence of her wolf.” I stared at him in horror. “No! I didn't even know Nyx existed.” My voice trembled. “I only awakened her recently! You all know that!” Nobody answered as though my voice no longer mattered. Gamma Daxon continued reading. “The records further decree…” His expression grew noticeably heavier. “...that an Echo Wolf must be executed immediately upon discovery.”

“Yes. Isn’t that fair? After centuries of watching her die. After all this time, watching her make the wrong choices. Now you can finally make the right choice, the choice she wasn’t strong enough to make.” Something deep inside me moves. It isn’t magic or a memory. It feels like instinct. Something that I haven’t felt since Nyxara took over my life. My wolf stirs for the first time without restraint. He is no longer caged or muted. No longer suppressed by the confines of the Game. He is finally awake, which can only mean one thing. Nyxara is losing her grasp on everything. She is losing her grasp on me.

Sparks flew into the room. The second wolf was faster. The animal tackled Rian. They hit the floor. The rifle skittered across the wood. Rian grabbed the wolf by the throat. He used his strength. He kept the jaws away from his face. The wolf snapped. The teeth sounded like scissors. Rian roared. He drove his thumb into the wolf's eye. The animal howled in pain. Rian used the moment. He reached for his knife. He drove the blade into the wolf's ribs.

About twenty meters away I spot them, or more to the point I spot him. Clayton Blackridge Alpha of the Lobo Sombra pack in his huge gun metal grey wolf. Standing to his right is a brown and grey wolf slightly smaller in height and not as muscular, possibly his Beta. My wolf starts stalking towards them and even though I am protesting she wants him. As I get closer he shifts back then the other wolf turns I realise he is giving us some privacy.

Sent it to Mirah. [TEXT MESSAGE: Unknown tail watching the school. Alert Daisy. Fast.] She replied instantly. [On it. Get back. I need to show you something else.] --- Mirah’s POV Roan returned just as dusk began staining the sky. I greeted him at the rear again. "There’s more," I said. "There always is." I handed him a folder. "Old case. Buried under Rosa’s name. A female wolf was reported missing seven years ago. Disappeared the same week Rosa returned to the capital. No body found."
