Stepbrother, I Have A Secret

Stepbrother, I Have A Secret

What I got was a blessing that deserves to be cherished, it was a gift from above that needs my pure care, love and attention. Seconds later, I decided to do my night routine, took a half-bath and applied some skincare to my face and body. Once all done, I sat on the bed, leaned against the headboard and took the children’s book Hail gave me earlier, it was originally her niece’s favorite bedtime storybook but then, her niece eventually lost interest in it and gone invested into playing games in her iPad instead. That’s actually saddening. Oh, growing kids nowadays… “That’s why when you come out, little muffin, please don’t grow too fast. The world is cruel when you’re old enough, you tend t

THE LUNA HE THREW AWAY

THE LUNA HE THREW AWAY

"You've got maybe two hours. Less if he's running." "Two hours." "Two hours." I stared at the broken oak. I had two hours to figure out something that had been inside me my whole life, and I’d never even known. "The Void," Fen said, like he was answering a question I hadn't asked. "That's what the Old Growth does to you if you stay long enough. The Old Growth isn't just a regular forest. It's old, older than any village or road, and almost alive in its own way. The trees here don't just watch; they press in, heavy with silent intent. Stay here too long, and the boundaries in your mind start to blur. Most wolves who end up here go Feral. You saw one of those tonight." He didn't wait for me to

Unwanted mate:The Alpha’s priceless Luna

Unwanted mate:The Alpha’s priceless Luna

My heart pounded so loudly I was certain it echoed through the silent space. Minutes passed. Or maybe hours. Time seemed to lose meaning as I waited, my anxiety building with each passing second. Finally, Elder Margaret returned, carrying a thick, leather-bound book that looked older than anything I had ever seen. Its cover was worn and faded, the pages yellowed with age. She set it on a nearby table but kept her hand pressed firmly on top, preventing me from reaching for it. "Before I give this to you," she said solemnly, "I need you to understand something."

Never to Grow Old Together

Never to Grow Old Together

The first time I find a man's watch in my fiancee Lydia Winslow's car, her father calls me himself to explain it away. "Jonah, you've got the wrong idea about Lydia. That watch is mine. I must have left it there by accident." The second time, when I discover two movie ticket stubs, her best friend tags me in a group chat. "Don't overthink it. I asked Lydia to buy those tickets for me." It happens a third time, then a fourth, and every time after that, someone steps forward to cover for her. By the ninth time, I pull a tie from between the car seats and hold it up in front of her face. "Whose tie is this?" Her hand on the steering wheel gives the faintest tremor before she dials a number

The Hybrid's Daughter- Red Moon, The Curse

The Hybrid's Daughter- Red Moon, The Curse

The book held secrets beyond the understanding of ordinary men, secrets reserved only for those born with magic. Mathias rolled off his bed and knelt down, searching beneath it. His hand clasped around the Old Book, the weight of its ancient knowledge giving him a sense of purpose and responsibility. He took it and carefully placed it on top of his bed, treating it with reverence. Then, he started flipping through the pages of the book, each turn revealing ancient spells and captivating stories. But as he delved deeper, Mathias couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment. Everything he read seemed accessible to anyone, even though they might lack the ability to wield the magic within.

The King's Brightest Star

The King's Brightest Star

“Why did you say you were old?” "Look at me, Ellis. With the way I look, everyone treats me as though I were elderly and Goddess knows I certainly feel ancient. My life feels like a novel that's gone on too long, losing any semblance of a plot, the characters ghosts who haunt the pages with no purpose." “You grew up in the Empire?”

(Part 2) I have to commend the author for having such an amazing ability to come with an amazing story! The characters are lovable! There’s humor, passion and a good solid story around it! What more could you ask for! It’s definitely worth your gems and time! You’ll love this!

This was such an interesting story! I enjoyed the characters and plot development. A recommended read! One hiccup was that throughout various chapters there was random errors in the names (e.g, Ellis named Bella). It was a bit distracting but not a deal breaker.

"The story's trying to say that if you're different from others, it might be because you're better, so there's no need to feel insecure." … I improved quickly. A year later, I was sitting in the same classroom as children my own age. Even after that, Arthur kept buying me books, one after another, from childhood into adulthood. I wrote the date on the title page of every single one. I took the books down from the shelf one by one and placed them into a wooden box. As the shelf grew emptier, my vision gradually blurred. The last book was the one he gave me on my 18th birthday.

To be loved like this

To be loved like this

It wasn't what he needed. He loved her like an old, beloved book. One he’d read so many times he knew every line, could quote passages in his sleep. One he kept on the nightstand out of habit and affection, even when he wasn’t actively reading it anymore. It was comforting just to know it was there. Maybe that was the problem. He’d stopped reading her. Stopped turning the pages. Stopped asking what came next. He forgot that she was still growing, still changing, still becoming someone new. He treated her like a finished story, neatly bound and complete, when she was still mid-chapter. Still writing herself in ways he never bothered to notice. When she finally closed the book and walked away,

The Ninth Cipher

The Ninth Cipher

The old man watched quietly. "Every story begins the same way." "Someone wonders..." "'What if?'" The child suddenly looked toward Adrian and laughed. Then both the child... and every drawing... vanished like morning mist. The old man handed Adrian the worn notebook. Every page inside was blank. Except the very last one. On it... only one sentence had been written. Never let certainty become the final chapter. Before Adrian could ask another question... the old man's body dissolved into countless tiny lights. Each light floated upward.

A voice from the back perks up, and he smiles their way broadly. “Don’t you dare hand in your old essays because I will know. I have a photographic memory!...... Besides….Think of it as an opportunity to reflect on your old work and see how you have grown. If you interpret the book differently now you guys have grown some and experienced hormones and dating… How many have matured and no longer think it’s ‘sweeeeet’…..” He mimics a cutesy, gushy girl's voice. “That an older sixteen-year-old picked up a thirteen-year-old minor after one meeting and rush married her before suicide.” He frowns, dumps down his pen, and crosses his arms to watch our reaction. He has always been a cynic on the love
