I heard muffled chattering , Raven glared at everyone and they were shushed. “First one is writing the story. It is about making an album about love. I know it’s been anticipated a lot from Mr. Kian to write about love. According to my maths,” he showed a slide showing statistical data, “ ninety people who are fans of Mr.Calloway have written fanfics about him. It means they fantasise about Mr.Kian being in love, and if we use this, I can say, there are more than ninety percent success rate of the album. Even if it is on a lower budget.” he was right. I looked at Raven, he looked at me with an expression that said that he was somewhat convinced of it.

“To her. To both of us. I don’t know. It’s blurry.” Delilah lets out a bark of laughter. “Okay, great. Now you’re starring in your own fanfiction.” “It’s not funny.” “It’s hilarious. You need a therapist. Or a priest.” “I’ve been reading these books, okay? The kind where the guy is dangerous and obsessive and completely wrong, but the girl still falls for him because he sees all of her. And I keep imagining Professor Montelli with his hand in my hair and his mouth at my throat and—”

Maybe she shouldn't have mentioned the fantasies part. She wiggled her eyebrows, completely unaware that Magnus was listening intently, his fingers barely twitching against his thigh now. The pack around them held their collective breath, waiting for some reaction. Any reaction. "I used to write the most ridiculous fan fiction," Cathy continued, completely unselfconscious. "Edward and Bella? More like Edward and my imagination. I bet he'd be way less interesting in real life. Probably would just brood and play piano all day. At least werewolves seem like they know how to have fun. Do you guys have epic pack parties? I'm imagining full moon dance-offs or something."

His hand rested over my stomach, tracing lazy circles. “I want to keep playing sometimes,” he murmured into my hair. “Keep the edge sharp. Keep the fantasy alive.” I smiled, sated and owned and stupidly happy. “Every anniversary,” I whispered. “And maybe… some random Tuesdays.” He laughed soft, warm, real. Then quieter: “And if we ever decide to add to the family… we’ll tell them the truth when they’re old enough. That their mother and father chose each other against the whole damn world. That the fantasy became real.”
