Broken Night
It's funny what you remember when you look back on things, isn’t it?
The place was pretty dead that night, in fact, except for the usual people stumbling in and out, the dance floor pretty much belonged to us. We made up for it by buying a ton of drinks (mostly gin and tonics, so they'd glow in the blacklight because we were like freaking children, and it amused us). But I remember Kelly had a weird thing made out of cider and lager, with some cordial (I think they called it Snakebite or something) and dancing with an intensity and fury that surprised even us.
