No Renewal: My Contract Husband Novels & Stories

His eyes drifted to my belly. "You need to take responsibility for this, Adam," I said, looking him in the eye. "You have to marry me." His lips parted. For a second, I got distracted with his red lips. Damn. I knew how good those lips were. "You're insane, Claire. How could you think of marriage when we don't even know each other?" I just arched my brow. "But you got me pregnant. You need to take responsibility for this." He let out another curse, then tilted his head upward. He looked at the night sky for a few minutes. I saw how his Adam's apple moved. "Fine. I'll father your child," he said, meeting my eyes. "But I won't marry you."

“You want a divorce from me?” His eyes darkened as he stared at me.“No, darling,” he said quietly. “We’re in this together.” “There is no we,” I said, glaring at him. “Oh, there definitely is,” he replied calmly. “Or did you forget about the contract?” My heart skipped. “What contract?” “The one that clearly says we can’t divorce each other until six years of marriage,” he grinned widely. “And we’re only in the third year.” I slowly shook my head. “That’s a lie.”

"Technically? Yes. The contract is still active. If he chose to invoke its terms, you'd be bound by them. Including returning any financial compensation and forfeiting claims to shared assets." Elara felt sick. "Even though we got married again?" "The second ceremony doesn't automatically nullify the first. You'd need to file for formal nullification. Or he would." "And if he doesn't?" "Then in five months, when the contract expires, you could theoretically be divorced unless both parties agree to extend." "That's insane." "That's contract law." Patricia set down her pen. "Mrs. Blackwood, I need to ask. Do you believe your husband would enforce this?"

The first term caught my attention: "The contract wife must always go out with the contract husband, be it a dinner party or anything, and she must not refuse.” As I continued reading the contract, my eyes widened in horror. Second term, "The Contract can be renewed by the contract husband when it's five years of the agreed time, but this time only if the contract wife agrees, and only when it's five years." Third term, "The contract husband and babies' daddy must be able to do whatever he wants with the contract wife and babies' mother, and she must not oppose." Fourth term, "The contract husband says as opposed by the wife that the relationship can be made public if he so wishes, and she m

“And I’m willing to do whatever it takes to keep you.” She shook her head weakly. “Bu… but you’re still married,” Her voice cracked. “You’re someone else’s husband to the world.” He held her gaze. “Not for much longer.” “Wh… what?” He took a breath. “We have six months left on the contract,” he said. “Six months and then it dissolves. No renewals. We agreed. After that, I’ll be free. Free for you.” Silence stretched between them, thick and heavy.

Jhonia who had stopped with her back turned to him, she turned around looking at him. “My husband is already cheating on me, and publicly. I can not sit and just watch or leave because the contract said five years. His mother driver told me I deserved better and I got mad at him when he was just trying to warn me. By the time I found out... I realized that I might like him, and who knows me better than me? He's going to get to me and I'm going to let him have my virginity? I rather give it to a stranger and before you talk me out of it, just remember he started this... He broke the contract rule first, it's not a sin we are not married lawfully... It's just a contract marriage.” Jhonia said

"You will, too." I nodded, taking courage from his assurance. However, what about us? In three months, our contract expires. His grin squeezed my chest with its sincere warmth. "Then, we will determine whether to renew by then." The inference made me gasp. Renew in the manner of a true marriage. Something enduring. I extended my hand and clasped his fingers together. "So let us begin by getting through today." He kissed me on the knuckles. "And today, and each day thereafter."

he knelt down in front of me, "It's just going to be a marriage of convenience, and we will get divorced in under three years. I need to get married because of an international billion dollar contract. They like my work, but they don't trust me because I'm not married, and I can't afford to lose the contract. That's exactly why I came back from the States. I also know that your grandma wants you to get married before the company is fully handed over to you." "Have you been spying on me for my whole life?" I stood up abruptly. He stood up, "You've been living rent-free in my head ever since I set my eyes on you. When you left this morning without telling me your name, I knew I had to find you

I mumbled. “but seriously…what did he mean when he said a second wedding?” she asked, seemed confused, “that’s because he wants another contract…but I refused” I explained, her eyes widened, “he doesn’t want this to end!!” she exclaimed, I shook my head, “he says it’s not good for both us, and with the new project…” I added, she smirked shaking her head.

"That's not a problem, you can leave your husband and get a divorce from him. I don't care if you are married; you belong to me and me alone." "Are you crazy?!" Charlotte busted out in anger. She used all of her energy to push Christian's hands off her. "You really expect me to leave my husband for you?" "Listen Charlotte, I know five years have passed but I still feel the same way about you. Plus, I know that the marriage between Sebastian and you is just a contract marriage. You guys never even met prior to a month before your marriage." Charlotte's heart stopped beating for a moment when she heard Christian say that her marriage was based on a contract.
