Non Fiction Book Proposal Novels & Stories

River’s POV I got the offer in the middle of a quiet Sunday. An email. Subject line: “Book Proposal Inquiry – Rachel Greene Story” The publisher’s name was one I recognized — literary, ethical, a reputation for handling memoirs with care. They weren’t asking for drama. They weren’t asking for spectacle. They were asking for Rachel. “We’d love to discuss a nonfiction project about your mother. Her legacy, your testimony, and the journey toward justice.” I sat with the message for two hours before I told anyone.

"I've been following your story closely. The article, the social media response, the interviews you've done. And I believe there's a real market for a deeper dive into your experience." "What kind of book are you thinking?" Riley asked. "Memoir, primarily from your perspective, Riley, but with sections from Samuel. The arc would be your life before him, the moment you met, falling in love despite the obstacles, and ultimately choosing each other over everything else." Victoria pulled out a folder. "I've put together a preliminary proposal. Six major publishers have already expressed interest in seeing a full outline." Samuel leaned forward. "What would we have to do?" "Write an outline, mayb

So I pasted a friendly smile on my face and spoke to her. "We have both fiction and nonfiction books, and there are a lot of genres under each. Not a business book — the practice is not a formula to be replicated. But something between: an account of what the work has taught her, using the actual clients and the actual briefs and the actual places as the body of evidence. The book is called, provisionally, *The Thing Before the Claim*. It takes six weeks to write the first draft because the material has been accumulating for ten years, and the sentences were already there; they just needed to be put in order.

He couldn’t make up his confession as he went along. He turned to a fresh page in his notebook. The previous page was full of planning notes for his current story. Darien’s mind sparked an idea. He could write his feelings as a book instead and give that to Zach. His romance writing skills were infinitely better than his verbal ones. He didn’t have time to write an entire book with his hectic schedule and his current book. He needed sleep. No decent CEO ran a company without any sleep. It would have to be a book proposal. He could write an outline and the first five chapters. That wouldn’t seem strange to Zach. It was the intern’s job after all.
