Melina's POV Five days. She'd lost five days. Melina sat on the edge of her bed at eleven PM staring at her notebook. The greenhouse route was still there in neat lines. East corridor. Second floor. Maintenance ledge. Garden wall. Ninety-three seconds. She hadn't looked at it in three days. Three entire days where the notebook had stayed closed in her bag while she'd been... what? Distracted? Occupied? Systematically dismantled by three men who touched her like they'd already decided she belonged to them?

“You’re very quiet tonight.” “I’m listening,” Melissa replied. Alice laughed. “You always were good at that.” Later, alone in her room, Melissa packed nothing. Instead, she wrote. She wrote names. Dates. Behaviors. Conversations. She wrote until her hand cramped. Because this time, she wouldn’t leave empty-handed. From the hallway came Alice’s voice, low and pleased. “She won’t last,” Alice said to someone. “She never does.” Melissa closed the notebook slowly. We’ll see, she thought.

Jett, who stood beside him, lowered himself as he whispered, “Mateo returned suddenly without telling anyone what his plans were. However, before he returned, he made all the arrangements necessary for his matter overseas within a short period of time. It would seem that he really intends to have a long term stay in the country.” Alejandro extinguished the cigarette in his hand and heaved a long sigh. “Melanie has gone to the restaurant that he opened. I refuse to believe that he’s back in the country just to open up a restaurant; that’s merely the Rodriguezes’ side business. Do you think… Melanie loves Chinese cuisine?”

I questioned him, seeing those bean’s Humbart turned pale and nodded. “That day when I was closing my store, a lady wearing green cape visited me, she asked me for some grains in return for those bean’s, her clothes were torn and dirty, I thought she was poor and needy, so I handed her one bag of rice and another of mixed pulses, she thanked me for my kindness but forced me to take those bean’s, I declined but she shove them in my hand, her action confused me but the instant those beans touched my fingers I felt burning sensation in my entire body, I got scared and with horrified face I turned my head up to look at lady, she took off her cape and I was stunned to see because she was none ot

I came to the last one in the pile and furrowed my brows when I looked at the front. It had my name on it in black ink, but it didn't have the building address. It was hand-delivered. I opened it up, expecting there to be papers inside but there was only a memory stick. A memory stick! Why would someone send me a memory stick? I placed all the mail aside and inserted the memory stick into my Laptop. I opened the file up curious to see what was on it. What the fuck!! On my screen, I saw Jamie and that Doctor she's involved with. They were standing in his living room undressing each other slowly. His hands were on her body, her bra was undone and his hands were on her breasts too.

Maelis POV “You have to see this,” Melanie said, her voice low and urgent. I followed her back into the medical suite. My legs were still a little shaky, but curiosity kept me moving. “What is it?” I asked with a frown, looking at her serious face. “Over here,” she said, pointing to the side table. She had moved it into the corner, away from the door. On the surface lay a large piece of cardboard covered in drawings, circles, and messy handwriting. I stepped closer, squinting at the black marker ink.

I reply “Ah, that’s right. Where is your assistant turned girlfriend. I owe her an apology, don’t I?” Melanie speaks up. I stare at her shocked because of there is one thing Melanie doesn’t give out freely it’s an apology so when has she become This saint? “Excuse me?” I blanched

Carl asked while Melanie sighed Shaking her head, she said, “I'm sorry, Carl, but I can't disclose more than that. I hope you understand.” “Anyway, thanks.” “What a drink?” Melanie offered as she grabbed her tequila, but Carl refused nicely. They kept on talking and then her gaze fell on Ryan walking into the bar. “That asshole!” Melanie blurted, furrowing her brows as she stared at him with disgust. “Excuse me..” she said to Carl, who nodded as he watched her strolled towards Charlotte. She whispered some words in Charlotte's ears and Carl watched keenly as they brought out a large envelope. They retracted a series of colorful cards in it.

Melanie didn't even look up, just giving a dismissive "Mhm." Jewell was surprised at her lack of interest, but then remembered Melanie was married and decided it was normal. Throughout the meeting, Jewell was completely distracted, not paying attention to the discussion. Melanie, however, was focused on taking notes on her laptop. After the meeting, Jewell was still lost in thought until Herbert came over to collect Melanie's meeting notes. That snapped her back to reality. Herbert quickly flipped through the notes and couldn't help but say, "Great job. Thanks."
