The Alpha's Half-Breed Mate

The Alpha's Half-Breed Mate

Duncan POV: As soon as we were back from wolf training, I practically dove in to get the witch notes out. I placed the package on the table and carefully unwrapped it to find an old, beat-up, leather-bound book nestled within it. A frayed red ribbon was stuck between the pages and I gently opened it to the section marked. A crude ink drawing of a circle took up one side while scribbles of what looked like notes were on the other. The only thing that I could read with ease was the top note in larger scrip that said: “Negating dark energy.”

Alpha’s Obsession

He nodded, clearly relieved, and left the room. Once I was alone, I opened my bag and took out the book I brought with me. It was a paperback with a deep blue cover, slightly faded at the edges from being carried around too much. The spine was creased, the corners bent, and the pages were soft and worn, the kind of book that had been read more than once. The title was written in silver letters across the front, and a few sticky notes peeked out from between the pages, marking my favorite parts. I glanced at Gideon and smiled faintly.

CRUEL OBSESSION

CRUEL OBSESSION

And, most annoyingly, the steady, measured breathing of the boy walking beside me. I wasn’t in the mood for this. Not after last night. Not after the way my mother and Cameron had cornered me. Noah was annoyingly focused. He barely glanced up as he scribbled notes in the margins of his book, sleeves pushed up to his elbows. I found myself watching his hands. The way his fingers moved—steady, precise, controlled. It was ridiculous, really, how someone like him could make even the act of writing look intense. Then it happened.

The Crimson Letter

A hint of vanilla and dust and something sharper underneath. Sloane stopped just inside the library threshold. The room had changed. The curtains had been pulled open, pale light filtering in through stained glass that cast red and blue patterns across the rug. Books lay scattered around a low velvet sofa. The desk near the fireplace was covered in pages, some handwritten, some torn from a spiral bound notebook. She crossed the room slowly, recognition tightening in her chest. “My notes,” she said. Her fingers hovered over the pages. “From the manuscript.” Theo looked over her shoulder. “You didn’t leave these here?”

The Rise Of The Last White Wolf

The Rise Of The Last White Wolf

“This is about prophecies.” Page after page contained predictions, symbols, bloodlines, and handwritten notes scribbled into the margins. It seemed very interesting. But not what I was looking for. At least I didn’t think it was. I carefully closed the book but I kept ahold of it just in case. Then something else caught my attention. A smaller book sat near the end of the row. Unlike the others, it looked heavily used. The cover was worn nearly beyond recognition. Corners were bent. The binding had been repaired multiple times. Whoever owned it had clearly read it often.

Three-Years Contract Marriage with the Billionaire

Three-Years Contract Marriage with the Billionaire

It had had a book on it since approximately the third week of October and the book had changed eight times since then, which I knew in the peripheral and unexamined way I knew the things I had stopped pretending I was not paying attention to. I had not read the books on her nightstand. I had not handled them or examined them beyond the incidental visual contact of a man moving through a room with other purposes. But I had, in the specific and involuntary way of a person with a particular quality of attention, noted them. The kind of noting that did not feel like noting at the time and revealed itself later as a catalogue when you went looking, which I had not gone looking but was apparently

Beneath Lagos Rain

Samuel blinked. "That's all?" Nathan nodded. "Sometimes that's enough." The notebook showed obvious signs of age. Its cover had faded, but the pages remained well preserved. Nathan carefully opened the first page. No author's name. No title. Only a handwritten sentence. These notes do not belong to me. The words immediately caught Amara's attention. Nathan turned the page. Another sentence appeared. They belong to anyone willing to question power before seeking to exercise it. Samuel looked at Amara.

No title or author or picture; nothing. I didn’t think to much of it when I started heading back towards the table with this book in my hands. I sit down and carefully start turning pages and reading. Much to my surprise, Koa had been silent this whole time. I wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or not but it did allow me to concentrate more on what I was reading. I pulled out my notes from last night and started filling in some blanks and some other details. I wrote down all the “major players” from both the winning and losing sides of the wars. I was so lost in what I was doing that I lost track of time…again! I looked around the table and I had a few books laying out opened to certain pa

Great read! Especially for a new author. Interesting story that kept me engaged. Loved the slow introduction of characters that allowed me to get to know each one. However, if you are looking for steamy bedroom scenes, you will find this lacking.

“Bennett? Why would you think we’d need him?” Enzo bit back a sigh. “He left a note in a book. Printed into the first page of the book, under the chapter header. I don’t know how.” He shook his head. His jaw clenched, and I realised that he needed this distraction, if only for a moment. Samael watched us unseeingly from the earth. I looked away.

Frequently Asked Questions

I recently read 'The Silent Patient' by Alex Michaelides, and it completely blew my mind. The psychological thriller revolves around Alicia Berenson, a woman who shoots her husband and then stops speaking. The story is told through the perspective of her therapist, Theo Faber, who is determined to uncover the truth behind her silence. The twists in this book are insane, especially the final reveal that flips everything on its head. The writing is sharp, and the pacing keeps you hooked from start to finish. It’s one of those books where you think you’ve figured it out, but you’re dead wrong. If you’re into dark, gripping narratives with unreliable narrators, this is a must-read. The way Michaelides plays with perception and reality is masterful. I couldn’t put it down and finished it in one sitting. The ending still haunts me weeks later.
