It was nice and naive. "The class system has more to do with money rather then the family you were born with, but it does exist and very well too. I am not in the same class with Amir in the states too, " Dream said. It was not something that she liked to admit but it was the truth. She did not have much of a chance with Amir. "Oh, that is sad I guess. The world is the same everywhere," Aliyah said and Dream nodded. It was sad. "We should start going for the party, I am sure that they would have started by now, or at least they would be preparing to start," Dream said and Aliyah nodded.

Daniel cannot sleep well on that night and his eyes still wide open. He looked at the ceiling and thought about the woman whom he met at the coffee shop. He did not know what he felt at that time, but she just made him amazed by the beauty of her at the first sign. "Who are you, beautiful lady? Why did I feel that I knew you and have met you before? Did we meet somewhere or—" Daniel suddenly remembered his dream six months ago. A wedding dream in which the events and also the looks of the bride were so real.

Moving to America had always been my ultimate goal in life. Ever since I was fifteen, when my high school bestie and I had constructed a detailed ten-year plan, mapping out everything from our university courses to our apartment's precise address just five minutes from Broadway, I had known that this was what I wanted to do with the one life I'd been blessed with. And from the moment Rebecca and I had come up with a catchy 'American Dream' jingle in the ninth grade, I'd been determined that nothing could get in the way of me getting to the Big Apple.

But money did. Fedora had once dreamed of a love story like the ones in the movies—one where she walked down the aisle with a man who cherished her, where she built a home filled with warmth and laughter. "Isn't that better? If it's officially out, we won't have to sneak around anymore." I shot him a sharp look. "Dream on! Probation isn't over yet!" The car slipped seamlessly into the evening traffic. "What should we have for dinner?" he asked casually, like this was our usual routine. "I tried a new recipe—tomato and beef casserole. It's mild, comforting, and not spicy." I froze. A billionaire CEO actually offered to cook for me? "You know how to cook?" I asked incredulously. "I only learned it to win you over," he said calmly, keeping his eyes on the road. "As Mr. Y, I'm supposed to be gentle, thoughtful, and able to cook. I have to live up to it."

“What can we expect in that story?” “Is Sindy Kate really gone?” The questions continued, and I was like a deer caught in the headlight. My teeth started to tatter, and the flashes were blinding me. I swallowed all my nerves and smiled. “Yes, I am writing a novel. It’s fiction but inspired by my life experience. I want to inspire all the women out there, in all walks of life, that it is okay to dream high, not to give up when things get tough. I want to show them that I may be born into a privileged family, but life isn’t always perfect.”

When they had blessed the union, he made sure that he came to her with a hand-carved box with his mother’s wedding ring. Daniel wanted Emma for himself, so he walked into Edwin’s dreams one night, but he was surprised to find Emma there watching Edwin with a soft dreamy smile. Edwin had been dreaming about Emma and their life together. Teaching Emma to walk into dreams wasn’t one of Daniel’s better ideas because now she did it with ease.

It’s not in my best interest to anger the man who’s helping me. “Difficult, yes. Impossible, no. That’s the mistake you Americans are always making. You’re not dreamers anymore.” He gestures around us with his cigar clenched between his large knuckles. “Most of these people have no clue what they’re doing, and more importantly, why they’re doing it. If you have a dream, make a plan, and stick to it, that’ll take you a lot further than simply following orders.” “I suppose so,” I reply cautiously. “But some people don’t have the resources to do that. They’d starve if they weren’t working all the time. Hell, some of them are starving even though they’re working all the time.”

I'll let them learn from my mistakes. we may never have the American Dream, a white picket fence and a porch swing but we will be a family, a close family at that. The kids will spend weekends with their uncles Knight and Tommy, I'm not sure if I'd trust Damian with the kids yet, I think to myself with a chuckle. He’ll probably just feed them junk food until they explode.
