Novel Genre Novels & Stories

It's either history, military, or supernatural romances. I've never understood why so many people preferred such kinds of novels and genres all that much. Though, I meant that for the latter part. They're basically the same every single time. An average lady meets one sexy, handsome, extraordinary man, or two hot males battle over her, and there's usually some ridiculous drama that brings her further and deeper together with the men, and then she has to choose the obvious decision. Everyone had predicted her decision since the very beginning of the chapter. "And they're usually sequels or fantasy epics," I mumbled to myself.

Academic books, pet care manuals, colouring books, novels… Novels were another thing Margo and I bonded over. And even though it had been a while since I actually finished one, I always added highly recommended titles or new projects from my favourite authors to my collection. I used to be strictly a romance genre girl until Margo came into my life. She liked to tease that my bookshelf was to blame for my incurable faith in love. So she introduced me to what she called ‘real life’ genres — thrillers, sci-fi, and fantasy. Yes, fantasy.

She raised her brows. “Seriously?” He narrowed his eyes at her. “Yes, seriously! Ah yous should check it out too, come I’ll read it out to you, it’s great!” She clapped her hands in excitement. “No thank you, you know I don’t read romance,” He shook his head. “But it’s a unique one,” She protested, “A popular mystery/thriller writer is thrown inside her own novel! How cool is that?” “Hmm?” he raised his brows. “Did it pick your interest?” She wiggled her brows. “Ah, the guy has the same name as you, by the way,” She added.
