Then, Dante appeared as if in a smoke and threw something to the women that made them act like scavenger birds fighting for the morsels of food thrown at them. Jon placed a hand on his neck and tried to feel for wounds under his jaw. His felt no wounds, nor were there traces of blood on his hands. He recalled that the women took turns to suck his blood, like from some gothic novel or horror movie. Perhaps he dreamed that too? Everything seemed fantastical and he knew that he would be disbelieved, even laughed at, if he recounted what he thought he had just experienced.

“Wha' wrog?” “They found another body,” She said, “Under the bridge. Same place as the last one. They said the body had all its blood drained out.” “Just like the last ones.” I shivered. She turned to me, eyebrows raised. “Apparently there are no obvious wounds. Do you still think they’re animal attacks?” “Of course.” I rolled my eyes. “What else would they be? Vampires?” “You think I’m crazy, but that’s the only explanation that makes sense.”

I asked quietly. Nico crossed his arms, his head faintly tilting to the side. "What do you mean?" He asked. His question seemed to cause an all-out mess to form in my head, causing even more of a mess as my answer. "How am I supposed to keep a vampire from doing whatever they want with me? I know that I don't belong to them, but I still couldn't do anything to stop them! Even if I did try to stop them they could still easily overpower me," Panic was quickly beginning to show as my words became quicker," What if they threatened to hurt or kill me? What if they just forced themselves on me? Then what would I do? I want to be a good and obedient pet and follow your rules, but I still can't stop

I scream. The hamram looks about to bite me, but instead it slams its enormous maw closed inches from my nose, with a loud snap. Its features morph in a grotesque change.
