One call which did not have any number and it appeared as ‘Private Number’ on my screen and before I could attend, the call got disconnected. Before I could ponder about it, my phone rang again. My screen showed ‘private Number’ calling, and I wondered if I should attend this call or not. None of my contacts would call me by blocking their number which means its someone I don’t know. Uneasiness and nervousness took over my heart, making it beat erratically. I could not pick up the call as fear of unknown took hold of my emotions and the phone kept ringing. I have spoken with all my spies who are supposed to call me at this time, so it is definitely not one of them.

His hands shook as he pulled out his phone to try her number again, even though he knew it would go straight to voicemail just like the previous hundred attempts. The physical manifestation of his fear made him unable to sit down for more than a few seconds at a time. He would try to rest on a bench or lean against a wall, but within moments he was up and pacing again, his body refusing to accept stillness while Deborah was missing. Immediately the call ended, my phone began to ring again. I glanced back at it with so much annoyance to find that it was the same number. “For fuck's sake!“ I gritted out as I swiped left. This person was relentless and determined to speak with me. When my phone rang out again, I snatched it

“What is it?” I showed her the phone. Her teasing expression vanished. “Do you recognize the number?” I shook my head. “No.” She thought for a moment. “Could be Nero.” The name landed heavier than I expected. I had not spoken to him in weeks. Not since everything shattered and reformed into something unrecognizable. “Or someone trying to scare you,” Phoebe added. I locked the phone. “Either way, it means someone wants me unsettled.” “And are you?” she asked gently.

Because Atif made an effort to reply to her message thinking that the message is for himself without knowing that she is just wrong send. Another reason why she replied is she think that if she reply that way, Atif will stop replying and that’s what Aliyah wants.
