Once Upon An Alpha

Once Upon An Alpha

In her hands, she held a very beat-up copy of ‘Of Mice and Men. “Oh, Harriet! Thank you!” I squeezed my best friend before clutching the book to my chest. She grinned at me before she turned back to run back to where Matt was. I found my feet leading me back towards the creek. Away from the burned buildings, away from the chard remains of the carnival, and away from the dead. The thought of the packhouse was suffocating on a carefree regular day. Now there was over three times the amount of people shoved in there. For some reason, I felt like the creek was where I should be, like something in my gut was pulling me there.

This story is so good!! The author seems to put time and effort behind their characters!! And while peoples choices can be frustrating, baby beta looking at you, they all make sense with how the story is progressing and what’s happened! Couldn’t recommend this book enough!

I love this book. The author has created a wonderful world with well thought characters that I actually care about. The characters aren't perfect, they each have their own flaws and personalities. Each of them have grown in their own ways.

The Mafia And Me

The Mafia And Me

If floryin hadn't pulled back his hand, maybe Bella would have swerved and walked into master el's room. It is fortunate that floryin did not take her attention away from Bella even for a second, if she had not noticed her footsteps on the way to the corner, she would have been caught by now and possibly by now. Because without anyone knowing, in the four-by-four-square-foot room occupied by Mr. El, the man is being butchered to the ground by a group of black lions. Blood spurted everywhere, even wet the mattress and the sheets she was fucking. Lord el's body was lying on the floor with numerous open wounds in his body, not just that. Mr. El's old body also has many bullet holes through his

"I think so too. Most importantly, she treats us very well." I looked closely at the old man beside me and realized something. He had never been a pushover at all. The one with the clearest mind of all… had always been him.

she screamed, scrambling backward and almost falling off the mattress. Three tiny creatures stared at her—three mice, standing upright on their hind legs. One wore a tiny blue waistcoat, another a yellow frock, and the third had a pair of miniature spectacles perched on his snout. “Excuse me, young lady,” said the plump one in the blue waistcoat, puffing out his chest indignantly. “We are mice, not rats.” The one in the yellow dress clasped her paws together. “Good heavens, Erella, you’re shaking! Are you still unwell?”

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

I’d have gladly walked into its yawning gullet at that moment. “It’s a very interesting book, Doon,” continued Maurice. “It’s the story of Muad’Dib, the mouse that hides from the sun and travels in the cool night.” “Sounds a bit boring,” said Flossie. “Do you think we could delay this week’s Book Club until we get out of this mess?” I requested in my most reasonable voice. Stay calm, wait for first light, and then make our way back to the lake, possibly to drown myself and get it all over with. “Just keep quiet and don’t make any sudden movements.”

The Mate Agreement

The Mate Agreement

“What John Steinbeck was trying to convey in Of Mice and Men wasn’t just moral dilemma. He explores themes of human nature and the line between right and wrong and how sometimes it gets blurry. Most people consider it a sad, depressing novel, which it is, but really, it’s more of Steinbeck bravely showing a side of human nature that man often times refuses to see. It’s like when we read Beowulf. Page ninety-six, last few lines of the second paragraph, he writes and I quote; ‘The men raced around the last stall. Their eyes found Curley’s wife in the gloom, they stopped and stood still and looked.’ At this point we can feel the collective grief of the men poring out of the page, we can see the

He grabbed a book of his own and read the back of it. "Is it weird that I want to read this book, just because of the trigger warnings?" Michael chuckled at that, shaking his head. "You don't read love," he pointed out. "That's a lie. I do," I argued. "Okay, maybe a little. But that's not the point. This looks...dark and mysterious," I said eyeing the book. The cover had three men, two of them with deep scolding looks. One had albinism while the other was red-haired. The one in the middle looked younger and less hostile. He had big green eyes and a boyish face, his brunette curls fluffy. Each of the scolding men had a grasp of each of his arms. To me, he looked like their Submissive or somet
