Older Man Romance Books Novels & Stories

“That’s a weirdly romantic thing to say.” He shrugged. “Weirdly romantic is kind of my thing.” She blushed, tucking the book under her arm. “We should find something you’d like.” They drifted through the aisles together, pulling out titles, comparing tastes—him more into thrillers and old philosophy books, her favoring modern poetry and angsty novels. At one point, he challenged her to find the oldest book in the store. She found one with a broken spine and scribbled notes in the margins dated back to the 1950s. He kissed her cheek when she handed it to him, whispering, “Beautiful and clever.”

I knew that one was far outside of my price range, but I flipped through the pages until I got to the more interesting bits. I didn't have all that much time, so I put the book back and found a box on the ground marked ‘Used Romance’. I kneeled beside it and dug through them until I found a couple I liked. They were all marked as ".50", so I could get four whole books to bring back with me. I was so overjoyed I nearly pranced on my way up to the cash register. The old man looked up from his book, and gave me a hard stare with his steely gray eyes as he wrote the titles in his ledger. "You're not from around here." He spoke with an accusation in his voice. "No, I'm not." I agreed. "Just visit

How I met him was quite a meet-cute, never have I been in a relationship this passionate. He was everything and supported me, he gave me all I ever asked for. Since I first met him at the club, where I turned from a waitress to a striper, he had always hovered around me. He made me felt special, I could see his love for me in his eyes. We never had any problems, just small irrelevant arguments. I have been dreaming about the day he would propose to me, to be sincere, I have never been this patient in my life.

Even the bookstore gives me an inviting spirit as I enter it. The bell above the door makes a sound, and I wave at the older man standing behind the desk as I enter the dusty old bookstore. "Good morning!" "Ah, a customer! How exciting!" The man pushes his glasses further up his nose and tilts his head at me. His hair is whiter than snow, while his skin is tanned from staying outside for too long. "Anything, in particular, you're looking for?" I nod at him, looking around to ensure we are alone before whisper yelling. "I need the sexiest romance book you've got—full-on penetration and the dirtiest sex ever."

While I drank out of the glass, I unfolded the paper. I dropped the glass when I saw Anthony’s handwriting on it. He had left me a note. Out of excitement, I began to read his note. This was a mistake. Having sex with you was a mistake and that does not mean we are back together. I will be marrying Gina in three weeks. I am urging you to move the fuck on and get out of my life. I chuckled and read the note over and over again. I smiled more, reading every word, eyeing every letter before folding the note.

Cassie watched them go with butterflies starting to dance around in her stomach. She was going to be alone with him. Was she ready for this? She turned and saw Wyatt saying goodnight to one of the older ladies. It was one of Janessa's grandmothers who he'd flirted with throughout the night. “Thank you, dear,” the grandmother told him. “I haven't felt this young in years. Thanks for flirting with a woman old enough to be your grandmother.” “The pleasure is all mine, miss,” he replied with a smile. “I meant every flirt.”

I squeak at the end. Damn it. He’s caught me by surprise, and it’s making me nervous. “Smut isn’t what I had in mind.” “It’s just a romance novel, Daddy.” I knew the cigarettes would get me in trouble, but I’m surprised he’s harping on the book. He’s always got his nose in a book—sometimes some classic, since he’s a lit professor, but just as likely a thriller, and he knows I love a good romance as much as he loves a good save-the-world-from-the-bad-guys adventure.

"Deep down, I am a person who likes romantic gestures more. For example, you can give me a bunch of flowers every morning. It doesn't matter if it's roses, daisies, carnations, or lilies. Wildflowers which are unable to be recognized by names are fine as well. I can even not have any food as long as I have the scent of flowers. Haha. Are you thinking that a fifty-year-old woman like me is a little unreasonable? But I just like flowers!" "No, no, no, nothing like that, Gloria." James was suddenly overjoyed. He suddenly understood that he managed to maintain his composure and put on airs, but the old woman could no longer keep calm anymore. As expected, it's actually easier for older women to

Her eyes widened, and she fell to her knees before him, although it was clear that she was far older than he. "Beta," she began, rather meekly, "I am sorry for losing my temper in your presence. She said some..some disrespectful things and I couldn't...I couldn't take it. " Her voice shook with emotion, like she was about to break down into tears. To my surprise, he ran his fingers through her dreadlocks, soothing her tenderly, and she rubbed against his legs, seeking his comfort. It was almost a sweet scene, like the one between a mother wolf and a pup. It is okay, Desdemona. I will handle the proud princess myself. From now onwards, Princess Miatta is my responsibility.
