“I don’t care. I want you.” My heart thundered. Tears stung my eyes, but not from sadness—from the unbearable tension ripping me in two. Footsteps echoed from the showers. Voices, male and loud, bouncing closer. Panic surged through me. I shoved at him again. “Stop. Now.” But he didn’t back away. He leaned closer, lips brushing the shell of my ear. “One day you’ll stop pretending. And when that day comes, Olivia…” His breath was hot, his voice a promise that made my knees weak. “…there won’t be any going back.”

Trash and stones rained down on my sister as she cowered, trembling. She sobbed like a frightened rabbit, her voice breaking. "I'm sorry. I really am…" Victor's eyes burned red with fury and anguish. He lunged forward, shielding her tightly in his arms, and roared at the crowd, "Shut the hell up!" Then, he lifted his head, his ice-cold gaze stabbing into me like a blade. "Zoe Quinn! Didn't you say this has nothing to do with you? Prove it!"

It was a piano shop—the very one where Evan and I first met five years ago.

His chest felt warm, but he ignored it and smiled at the camera. Her body was soft. After posing to their satisfaction, they proceeded to go into the hall. Oliver smiled and waved at a few familiar faces in the hall, but he stopped when he saw one particular face. It was the last person he wanted to see!

I had to lean in close to hear him. “Chloe, did you ever love me?” I looked at him and replied, slowly and clearly, “You don’t deserve his heart.” After the bidding meeting, I received a flood of offers from different companies, but I turned them all down.

He just cupped my face in his palms, like it was fragile and could break if not treated with care. “I miss you terribly,” he murmured hungrily against my lips. “I’m right here with you.” I replied. “I mean that very version of you obsessed with contagious laughter." “I’m doing my best in finding her.” “I’ll wait, even if it will take forever.” And just as I had concluded we would be spending the night without interruption of any type... We heard a sharp buzzing sound close by. Logan instantly pulled back, standing at apart. We both turned to get a view of what might be happening outside, and there it was, hovering under control in the dark.

Christy shouted when they got home. Oliver paid no heed to it all. He then walked towards his room. Seeing her son running like that made Alina chuckle. "Just let it be. Mother is sure, right now her heart is blooming." They both then laughed together. Inside the room, Oliver then threw his body on his king size bed. "Those lips have become an addiction to me." said Oliver with a meaningful smile. "Okay, maybe from this second I won't just let you go, no matter what.
