As I got closer, the spot on my window grew larger. I pulled into a parking lot of a coffee shop. It was one of those late-night ones that had live music on the weekends. The people entering had long hair and fedoras. It wasn't really my crowd, but Karma's magic was all over them. This was definitely a trap set for me.

That’s when I see it. The blinds. Pulled back just enough to reveal a face. Eyes. Staring right back at me from the dark window of that house. My breath catches in my throat, and for a second, time seems to freeze. The figure’s gaze is unwavering, locked on mine. My heart stutters in my chest, the thud of it too loud in my ears. Is that... No. No way. That can’t be him.

His eyes were blazing with a fire I knew all too well. "But your father helped me find the light that started to warm my heart. Your mother only strengthened that light within me." He stood up and looked out the window towards the city. The wind was howling, and snow started to fall once again. A storm had started. Not just outside but inside myself too.

Maverick placed his hand on her face and fell for her even more when her eyes closed, and she leaned into his hand. “I want you, little angel, but I can't have you. I'm too fucked up! There's too much bad inside me. You deserve better! You deserve someone good, not someone dark like me.” Maverick said, his heart breaking as he tried to get her to realize what he knew the moment he found out what she was. “Then I accept your darkness! If you're darkness then I will be your light,” Azalea said as she came up onto her toes and placed her hand on his face.

The room was extremely dark with a flickering bulb fixed on a wall and just a window that had a see through curtain. I snapped my neck back, looking out of the small window. I could see the moon outside and everywhere was extremely silent. Only my shallow breaths could be heard and my thumping heart. Cold eerie breeze blew in through the window, coming in contact with my delicate skin. I tried screaming for help but my mouth was plastered with what seemed like tape and my hands were tied together, my legs also. I fought to get loose but nothing happened, I only fell over to the cold floor and my shoulder came in contact with a warm thick liquid.

Curiosity laced my tone as I looked between him and the doors. He exhaled, slipping his hand into his boxers. My throat went dry and my cheeks heated as I watched him adjust himself before standing and heading towards the doors. I cleared my throat, trying to calm my fluttering heart as he opened the doors, revealing the room attendant. Justin let her in with the cleaning cart and I stood up, slowly walking over to the windows and hugging myself against the chill. I watched the rain falling, droplets streaming down the glass of the floor-to-ceiling windows.

She was back in her room, lying all by herself on the bed. “Mom?” she jolted up and looked around. “Seb?” The room was empty. It was just her in there. * KNOCK! * And then she heard it again, the knocking sound on the window. Sierra turned towards the window and her jaw fell to the floor. Someone was standing on her window ledge. His deep blue eyes lit up when she saw him, and his lips curved into a gorgeous smile. “Colton?” * * * To Be Continued.

Clara I was awake, but I wasn’t entirely sure how long I had been that way. I turned my head carefully. The room was small. A narrow window let in a washed-out morning light that made everything look flat and unreal. There was a chair in the corner, empty. A glass of water sat on a bedside table, beads of condensation sliding slowly down its side. I focused on that for a moment, watching one droplet gather enough weight to fall. The tiny movement felt monumental.

The man had been right — the glass was thick, maybe bulletproof. The view outside was just trees and darkness, stretching for miles. Even if I jumped, I’d never make it far. I pressed my hand against the glass, and my reflection stared back at me ,pale, tired, terrified. I sat down on the bed and pressed both hands to my stomach. “I’m sorry,” I whispered. “I’m so sorry I got us into this.”
