One Day In December Novels & Stories

ZARA’S POINT OF VIEW I got down from the plane, it’s sunny now, not scorching hot though, just the right temperature like the sky decided to finally smile after the long period of snows. It is January now, December and the holidays is over. December, Christmas was really nice, I spent it with my sister, we watched cheesy Christmas movies while drinking hot cocoa and eating cookies. It was the best time in a long long time, i am getting a little bit homesick just thinking about it.

Grayson Pov The first of December has finally arrived. This is the time of year that all of the small children look forward to. It is the same day as when the snow starts to fall. When I woke up this morning, the snow already started to fall. The grounds were already covered in snow. I already heard some of the kids holding a snowball fight outside. Today is also the day that we start decorating the packhouse and all the houses surrounding it. We start with our own houses then move on to the packhouse since the packhouse is the biggest.

Days pass and the weekend comes this Sunday. It's the last weekend of the December month and after two days the new year will start. I have made a plan for myself that I will watch one movie and read one Novel and sleep. So in the morning when I was thinking about which movie I should watch my roommates were talking about 'which shopping mall they should go shopping for' and then they asked me to get ready for going out. I was shocked that why didn't they tell me before and they both tell me that it's decided now because today is Sunday and they both want to do some shopping, have fun and also want to eat Pizza because they both are bored from eating mess food. So let's go together and make

Aurora December 24, 2024 “More,” I said as I tipped the empty glass toward the bartender in front of me. “I want to have more.” My words came out as if I were begging. While waiting, I looked around the club. It was just like a chaotic snow globe of December madness. The red and green lights were hung around every corner, shining across faces. Lovers were holding each other, dancing; some whispering over the music, while some singles were dancing alone and enjoying the Christmas songs blasting from the speakers.

she salutes the customer that overheard our whole conversation hopping out of here like she won the damn lottery. I turn to the man "you heard me right, I distinctly remember telling her the word NO" I say confusedly. After giving the man his change, he leaves but not before waving and screaming 'go wild tonight' Guess everyone are just wearing their ornaments today. After a long shift at the supermarket I make my way home, shower and then made me some grilled cheese sandwhiches. I decide to relax in my bed with a good book from my collection. 'Under the sheets' A steamy romantic mystery, just what the doctor ordered.

"No, I didn't have time. Sorry, buddy." "Impetuous... Homeric." It was a quiet shift, a wintry day, the kind that kept the bangers indoors. There wasn't any snow, but you could feel it in the air. Thanksgiving was two days away, and I expected little. The absolute craziness began at Christmas. People get drunk and mad about what they did or didn't get for the holiday. I was wrong. We turned the corner onto the Boulevard, where we saw a large mob of people howling and waving.

Or doing whatever composed, certain, silver-haired men who decorated penthouses in the dark and said 'not was, are' did at eleven thirty on December twenty-ninth. "I'll keep an open mind," I said. Brynn made a satisfied sound and was asleep within four minutes, the way she always was. I lay in the dark and kept my open mind very firmly closed and thought about two days. New Year's Eve in two days. Dinner, dressed up, all three of us. The countdown. The moment the year changed and whatever this was either became something or got left behind in the one that ended. Two days. I pressed my hand flat against my sternum and told my heart to behave itself.

"I book things in advance. That is who I am." Luca looks at me. "Is she always like this," he says. "Yes," I say. "Always." "Good," he says. "That is reassuring." We walk. The six of us. Along Marylebone Road and into the city and into the ordinary December Monday that is also, quietly and permanently, the first day of something that required everything we had to reach and is worth every day of what it cost. Lunch is long and warm and entirely without agenda.

The solstice fell on a Wednesday. The shortest day of the year arrived with the particular quality of winter light that knew its own briefness and offered what it had without apology for the offering being small. By mid-afternoon it was already retreating, the golden quality of the low sun moving across the fortress walls in the compressed arc of a December day that was more night than day and had made its peace with that. The preparations had been ongoing since the previous week.

Tyson smirked. “31 Days.” Chance affirmed. “Which Day was today”? He asked. “Ninth.” Dr. Tyson added. “Twenty two days to go, man I am gonna savor these.” with a devilish smirk, Chance declared.
