One Day In December Novels & Stories

I declared the end. At midnight, I boarded the plane alone. And in the shadows of the hangar. Genesis smiled in the darkness. They whispered, "She is coming home."

After all, there was no way she could have known that this was the last ‘usual’ day she spends with her family. She rewinds it all back to the morning of December 1st, the day of the arson. It was cold, the snow stopped that day leaving the sun to melt the stacked-up snow on the portico. She had breakfast with Luke and her mother as usual, her father never showed up because of work.

***** Edith The dream The winter was severe in Newyork. It was the month of December raining heavily accompanied by thunders. The sky was black surrounded by dark clouds in the night. I was in Allesandro's house sitting in front of the bonfire rubbing my hands to one another to generate some heat. "Edith, here is your hot chocolate." Allesandro hands me my mug and squats beside me sipping his own drink.

It's a special moment, and they all feel a sense of connection and belonging. It's December, and Samantha and Andrew are getting ready for the holidays. They are hosting a Christmas party at their home, and they are excited to see all of their family and friends. They decorate the house with lights and ornaments, and they bake cookies and make hot chocolate. On Christmas Eve, they sit around the fireplace and read stories to their grandchildren. They feel a deep sense of joy and gratitude, knowing that they have everything they could ever want.

The cackles of the weird man still could be heard over the upbeat music playing in the background, it was a messed up thing actually thinking someone gave birth to a fucker like that. They got out and the cold night hit them hard. Winter was becoming even more evident now that December was just a few days to go. The parking lot, which was supposed to be very packed like usual, was unusually scanty today, but he wasn't really surprised.Tuesdays were no fun.

Their foreheads pressed together. “Twelve days,” Damien murmured. “We have twelve days before you have to decide. Let’s use them. No hiding. No pretending. You tell me when the offer excites you. I tell you when the merger makes me want to put my fist through a wall. We figure this out like two people who are actually trying to build something instead of just surviving the nights.” Kai nodded, fingers threading through Damien’s jet-black hair. “I like that plan.” They didn’t rush into sex.

Gavin and I had been married for almost a year, but he always treated me rudely. I looked at the door, still closed as before. Maybe tonight Gavin would come home late as usual. The water on my face turned sad at the thought of the fact that tonight would pass in vain. Okay, I'm okay. Everything will be fine. Even tonight will probably be the same as the previous night; you don't have to be sad. I tried to strengthen myself. Fifteen minutes passed; I turned off the light and decided to sleep on the bed after the room lights were turned off. The 7X9 room was completely dark, apart from a little light source from the window vent.

I said. The December night. The building around us. The radiator. The train. Noah breathing. The collection forming. The gate every day. Eight days to December fourteenth. The correct amount.

It was the night of December 31, 2024—the countdown to the thrilling new year 2025 was mere hours away! Even though there was no snow on the ground, a cold breeze in the air hinted that winter was coming. My friends and I braved the chilly weather, eager to find warmth inside the grand building in front of us. Daeseung, always resourceful, had brought fake invitations as a backup plan in case his arrangements with a mysterious contact didn’t work out. Luckily, we found that our names were on the guest list.

"I just miss them." "We all do," Callum said, his voice gentle but firm. He leaned over to press his lips against mine, the kiss tender and brief. "But they'd want us to carry on. Especially today." Today. December 21st. The start of the Christmas festival that had once filled me with excitement and anticipation, now loomed before me like a mountain I lacked the strength to climb.
