Scandalous Lady

Scandalous Lady

She couldn’t stop thinking. Was it because, just like other men, he was already done with her after taking her purity? Or was he attending to some important matters more worthy of his attention than entertaining himself with a muse? Ugh! Shaking her head, she got rid of the thoughts. Overthinking things aren’t helpful at all. The young lady was taken aback her senses when Eloisa entered the room, holding a parchment of paper in her hand. It was a small note. It was the same familiar small note she also received before while in Verindale.

Teach me to sin II (Sins of the past)

Teach me to sin II (Sins of the past)

He moves to the desk and sits, leaning forward with both arms folded in front of him. His attention narrows on me like a spotlight. I swallow hard. “The… the notes,” I start, voice trembling. “I think it all began with the notes Eloise gave me.” He nods once. “Show me.” I reach into one of my pockets and pull out the folded scraps—still creased, still warm from my shaking hands. Eloise’s handwriting stares back at me in shaky ink. Tristan holds out his hand. My fingers tighten instinctively. I don’t want to let them go.

Encore with the Devil

Encore with the Devil

“Of me and Dante. The gala. The courthouse. And a copy of the contract. The bad one.” Silence on the line, hot and loud. “And?” he asks, too calm. “A note,” I say. “Two, actually.” “Read them,” he says. My throat feels tight, but I do. “‘*YOU WERE NEVER HIS TO OWN. WE CAN RENEGOTIATE.*’” I read. “And, ‘If Moretti doesn’t want you, I do.’ Signed with an M.” Rafael swears softly in Spanish. “Marco,” he says. “Has to be.”

Mafia Men: Nikolai's Inferno

Mafia Men: Nikolai's Inferno

It wasn't any decapitated head, it was the severed head of my informant from Sicily. "Jesus fucking Christ," Marco laughed. I clenched my hands into fists, his eyes were wide open and a little gift box was tucked into his mouth. Lorenzo pulled the box out of his mouth and opened it as well. A handwritten note came into my view, it was the handwriting I knew all too well. Motherfucker! Lorenzo handed the note to me and I snatched it away from his hands. “My Agamemnon... You patronize me like some little woman with no mind to call her own. I speak with a heart devoid of fear to those with wit to understand, and you can praise me or condemn me as you like, it's all the same to me.”

This mafia series is wonderful. Once you read it you'll understand how beautiful this series is. The plot is not like any other story. I keep re-reading this series, especially this book. I never regretted finding this book. Every character is well written. Nikolai is absolutely one of my favorites.

27 chapters read, the book is really addicting, although I am not a fan of very young innocent female leads. My second book from this author, the first one was the one with the mayor's wife. I must say I liked that one more, it was something different, many books have similar storylines, this one too

Sarah POV Sarah POV My breath hitched. Alessandro. Of course, Alessandro that was him. Crimson roses filled my arms with a delicate bouquet, with soft petals brushing my skin like silk. In the office air, there was a faint scent of coffee mixed with a sweet heady fragrance. The bold black ink etched into the cream-colored paper demanded for my attention as I stared at that note nestled right in between those blossoms. Ester did read through the note, and curiosity glinted in her eyes. Ester glanced over my shoulder at that place. “Wow. Grand gestures indeed,” she said with amusement within her voice. “So what will you then go do?”

The Crimson Letter

The Crimson Letter

A hint of vanilla and dust and something sharper underneath. Sloane stopped just inside the library threshold. The room had changed. The curtains had been pulled open, pale light filtering in through stained glass that cast red and blue patterns across the rug. Books lay scattered around a low velvet sofa. The desk near the fireplace was covered in pages, some handwritten, some torn from a spiral bound notebook. She crossed the room slowly, recognition tightening in her chest. “My notes,” she said. Her fingers hovered over the pages. “From the manuscript.” Theo looked over her shoulder. “You didn’t leave these here?”

Claimed by the Forbidden Alpha: Wild Bond

Claimed by the Forbidden Alpha: Wild Bond

Dante’s voice echoed through the silent hall, heavy with a gravity that made the books on the shelves seem to vibrate. “I found more than I was ready to face,” Helena replied, standing up and holding the notebook against her chest. “My surname is in these books, Dante. My mark is on the stones in the forest. Why didn’t you tell me?” Dante walked toward her, his steps heavy and deliberate across the wooden floor. He stopped just a few inches away, the scent of leather and rain enveloping her like a cloak.

HER DAUGHTER'S REJECTED MATE

HER DAUGHTER'S REJECTED MATE

The paper seems to pulse faintly, as if alive. VITO: (lighting the parchment with a single match, watching the flames consume it) “Then the war has already begun.” [He leans over a map spread on the table, the flames casting eerie light on the names and symbols. At the very center, in deep red ink that looks almost like blood, the name “CERES” burns like a brand. VITO: (voice cold as steel, full of menace) “She dies before the next trial. Or the throne burns with her.”

" She said, turning to Aria, whose forehead was also lined with curiosity. "Let me have a look at the name on it." Lyra gestured at Bancroft. He bowed and placed it on the table while Lyra and Aria lean forward to read the note on it. "Roses are red, violets are blue, this a token from Dante to you.”

Craving My Ex Luna

Craving My Ex Luna

I stood up from behind the sofa and saw Javier, Dante and Robert pinning Lorenzo, who fought wildly to escape, claws extended and fangs bared. “Fucking say the spell!” Robert yelled and I looked down at the book. “Invoco te, gemma vitae custos, de vase tuo prodire et vocatori meo responde.” The world seemed to come to a halt and an eerie silence filled the air. Lorenzo lay still, his eyes white as he gasped for breath. “What is happening to him?” Clarissa cried as she watched, crouched in a corner. The room went black and a green glow illuminated the room. A whispy figure stood in front of me, his face calm yet formidable, his eyes looking at the book in my hand.
