The tune rolled out of the speakers, a slow, deep rhythm that grew louder and stronger. Alina stepped forward, her voice smooth yet commanding as she sang: "Unshaken, undeterred—the past fades into the dust. Strength is born from silence, trust forged through the rust." The room was electric, every eye fixed as she commanded the stage with raw energy. "Rise like the storm, fierce and untamed. Bound by no law, destiny reclaimed." Scarlet caught herself nodding, pulled in by the strong pull of Alina's show. A slow smile spread on her face.

But, I was pretty sure I heard someone singing. Wait, a ghost? They said there are a lot of ghosts roaming around the hospitals. Is there a ghost who could sing? Wait, I think I remembered the lyrics. It was a Mayday Parade song. I browsed for my phone and started listening to the song until I found the specific lyrics I heard. I could never imagine we'd end up this way After all that we went through now, I'm fighting through the pain It's like this heart that's been broken so close to screaming

When the pianist's fingers stopped, the lyrical melody of the violin sounded, pushing the sadness to a climax. The girl's feet continued to walk on the empty street full of nostalgia. Song from a secret garden is the first musical piece that Thang Vu played for Thi San to enjoy. At the end the man sings that he watched a 'taxi' carry his girl away. I feel the pain in my chest.

Why did he send this to me? I closed my eyes as I listened to his new song, the sorrowful melody of the piano and his beautiful voice as he sang the song’s lyrics. It was such a beautiful yet extremely sad song. The song had all elements of a sorrowful love. Misunderstandings, the inability to communicate your thoughts and feelings to the one that you love, hurting each other in ways that couldn’t be reversed or taken back. The chorus was the sweetest apology that I have ever heard in my life. It was honest with a smart play on words.

If anyone was to enter the pack land with their eyes blindfolded, the person could have never guessed that the area was filled with thousands of wolves, vampires, dragons, fairies, elves, witches, shifters, hybrids and what not. Pin drop silence prevailed as only the harmonies of the instruments reverberated in the entire pack land and every person stood spellbound even before the first line of the song had begun ! Jax looked at his mate lovingly from above and smiled before wrapping his long, perfectly shaped fingers on the mike and closed his eyes gently as he sung the first line of the song with sincere and raw emotion, straight from his heart ! The song was “Trouble I’m In” by Twinbed !

I scroll through the song list with trembling fingers until I find my favorite song. I close my eyes and let the first note escape my lips. The world around me disappears completely. The melody moves through me like it's been waiting my whole life to come out, like it's been building up behind some wall that's finally cracked open. I sing about dreams deferred but not destroyed, about the fire that burns inside when everyone thinks you're nothing but smoke. I lose myself completely in the music. When I reach the bridge, my voice breaks slightly with emotion, but instead of stopping, I lean into it. The vulnerability makes the song more real.

The song belonged to a Brazilian band called Paralamas and the title was something like The Beacon of the Drowning. He bent an arm under his head to read the lyrics a couple of times before playing the song. It was an early 90’s rock ballad, simple and sweet, with a soul, like all the music she liked. Jim smiled with the last notes of the song she wanted him to listen to only hours before meeting again. And it wasn’t a song she could’ve sung to him, but the other way around.
