I held his hands in mine and said, "Finn, who are you? What have you been through? I can't help you if you don't talk to me." Finn took a quick glance at me and lowered his head. "I am Finn. I'll do everything to make you happy, Leah," he whispered in a monotonic voice as if he was reciting it from a book. I sighed and said, "Finn, your fate is entangled with mine now, so whatever terrible fate is awaited, we will go through it together. I want to offer you protection and safety that you have never experienced in your life. I know nothing I tell you can reassure you, but time will tell. Now, let's have something to eat. I hope you like deep-pan pizza!"

Bile burned a path up my throat. "Unless you're into watching," Flinn droned back to me, appearing bored. "I'm a charitable man and a sworn extrovert." He winked. Pete charged at Flinn. Timothy and I, on either side of Pete, pushed him back into his seat. But Flinn looked like he was willing to fight him, and that scared and thrilled me in equal measures. "What are you saying?" Pete didn’t thought Maria would actually use his words, but he still plays along. Pete nods and their eyes lock. Pete can see the sincerity in Blaire’s eyes. He’s mesmerized by those big shiny eyes. Mariah witnesses something special happening between the two but is unsure if it’s right because even though Pete is a nice guy, he’s still a part of mafia world. Mariah clears her throat and they both break their eye contact. Blaire’s cheeks turn red and Pete looked embarrassed as well.

Finn mumbled sleepily as he stumbled out of bed. We arrived at the clinic thirty minutes later to find Kat and her mates already there. She was sitting in Reegan’s lap and Ryan sat beside them, holding her hand. They were both fidgeting and looking extremely nervous. It was mildly amusing to see two strong Alphas brough to their knees by something that was about the size of a peanut. Surprisingly, Finnick was the first one to comment on it. “Who would have thought the cocky Alphas I met all those months ago at that barbeque would be here now, shaking in their boots at their impending fatherhood?” He taunted them.

Can you make steak pizzaiola?”

She had told Ria, explaining that a Den mother in a Clan served the same role as a Luna in a pack.
