I nodded, not quite answering and as I made to get out of the car, I found myself glued to the chair, invisible hands holding me as my eyes found Jacob's scary ones. "Am I clear?", He repeated, the calmness of his tone sending goosebumps up my spine as his scent filled the car making my nipples stand up at attention. Which didn't go unnoticed by Jacob, telling by the heightened intensity of his chocolate scent and the dazed look in his eyes, he was also affected. The King of Vampires was affected by me. "Yes", I let out, struggling against holds I couldn't see as I looked into his eyes, "Let me go".

The fog itself seemed to shiver, pulling tighter, until the figures were so near Mia could see the glint of eyes—silver, countless, unblinking. The pendant pulsed again. Slow, rhythmic. I could hear what the crowd was shouting. "All hale Queen Lamia and Her Fledgling Emmett." Lamia!? THAT THING WAS QUEEN LAMIA!? A vampire queen... THE vampire that's been trying to get into our pack's territory? The one that has a taste for werewolf blood? Emmett, the traitor. He had went to her? Was this just barely coincidence?

That’s interesting. "Alright, do you think your queen knows who and what my parents are?" I asked Cassandra as I am really curious about them now. Maybe I can find some information about my father and know what my mother is. But I'm sad to know that she's dead already. And perhaps one of them is a vampire or a witch, if I really am a witch. She replied, sounding so excited.

Caspian introduced him before turning to me. "Zeke, this is Luciana Archenbow. My mate and the Queen of Vampires. Otherwise known as the Killer Queen." Zeke stood dumbfounded for a second before averting his gaze from me and instead settled it on the floor. He bowed deeply. "Your Majesty!"
