Become a mother in one night

Become a mother in one night

She made a silent vow: she would be even more obedient and well-behaved from now on! Michelle had promised to take Lizzy to see the penguins the next day. Sending Lizzy to watch a cartoon, Michelle began her online search for a nearby zoo. To her surprise, she quickly realized that if she wanted to see penguins, they should be heading to an aquarium rather than a zoo. Granted, some zoos might have an aquarium section with penguins, but not every zoo would have them.

When I Hacked the Snow Prince

When I Hacked the Snow Prince

"We had a quiz today. I was the one who checked her answer sheet. And I swear to God her answers are so funny. You must read it when you are bored. You won't stop laughing." "Oh..I know," Asher chuckles. "I often read her answer sheets. Yeah, it's funny. You know she is really creative. By the way, penguins do attack if they are faced with a threat. Their wings are strong and their beaks are long and have a hook on the end of it which can pierce your skin." That got me surprised. I didn't think Asher would back me up like that. He totally melted my heart. "Oh..I see..yeah," Brent nods, looking visibly flustered. Then he quickly runs away from us.

Broken Season

Broken Season

Jodi answered shortly, making Luna look at her in disbelief. "What? You went to the South Pole just to take this penguin photo?" Luna asked in disbelief. Jodi then approached Luna, touching the photo of the penguin that she took in Antarctica around two years ago. Back then, she had planned to take something different from her usual style. She hoped for a unique shot compared to her previous photos. To achieve that, she chose the southernmost point on Earth, hoping to fulfill her fashion desires, and that's how she got this penguin photo – the only photo that made her go to Antarctica. After that, she was done.

She made stops along the way, exploring hidden coves, and soaking in the tranquility of the natural surroundings. One of Luna's most memorable experiences was visiting Boulders Beach, home to a colony of African penguins. She couldn't help but smile as she watched these adorable creatures waddle along the sandy shores and dive into the crystal-clear waters. Luna spent hours observing the penguins in their natural habitat, feeling a sense of joy and wonder at their playful antics.

The Purrfect Wingman

The Purrfect Wingman

Hair in a frizzy bun, hoodie covered in fur, eyes shadowed like I’d been punched by sleep deprivation itself. Hot. My sisters got meet-cutes with hot guys. My older sister Xenia was Pongoed, if you don’t understand the term, go watch 101 Dalmatians, and you’ll understand, in Central Park, and fell in love with Clay Nikolaidis, who resembles a statue of a Greek god more than a real man. And now my baby sister, Amaya, has her dream guy. Sure, there was way more chaos for Amaya and Alan, but the end result was the same… true love. Meanwhile, I had cat puke on the floor and haven’t been on a date since Spitfire came into my life and scared off the guy I was sort of seeing by using his testicles

Oh this book is off to a fabulous start! I’m a few chapters in now and I’m loving this book. Spitfire, you’re my favourite, love the sass and commentary hehe. I’m also loving how the FMC/MMC are connecting and you can feel that slow love burning already. Highly recommend!

A delightful tale that combines humor and heart! With charming characters, an opinionated cat, and an engaging plot, it keeps you turning the pages. The book beautifully explores friendship and love, focusing on the bond between two humans and their feline chaos crew. A must-read for cat lovers!

Frequently Asked Questions

I stumbled upon 'The Black Penguin' during a rainy afternoon at my local bookstore, and its striking cover immediately caught my eye. The book is Andrew Evans' memoir, detailing his incredible journey from Ohio to Antarctica—by hitchhiking. It’s not just about the physical trek; it’s a deeply personal exploration of identity, resilience, and belonging. Evans, who is gay and grew up in a conservative Mormon community, weaves his struggles with self-acceptance into the narrative, making the adventure as emotional as it is geographical.

The book’s brilliance lies in how it balances raw vulnerability with sheer wanderlust. Evans doesn’t shy away from describing the dangers he faced—sleeping on strangers’ couches, crossing borders with little more than hope, or braving Patagonia’s harsh climate. But what stuck with me was his reflections on how travel became a metaphor for his inner journey. By the time he reaches Antarctica’s icy expanse, it feels like a triumph of the human spirit. If you love memoirs that blend adventure with introspection, this one’s unforgettable.
