Percy took the jacket of his suit off and moved to unbutton the shirt but I reached out and began undoing them one after the other, slowly, relishing in the way the small movement of my hips seemed to drive him crazy. When I finally got rid of the shirt, I marvelled at the sight of Percy’s body. He looked so very lean while wearing clothes but now that the top half of him was exposed I could see the beauty he’d been hiding behind the suit. It was no wonder he had been able to beat Declan so easily. Percy's body looked like it had been sculpted by a greek god. He was muscular, not in the way that made one appear big and intimidating but in the way that you knew he was serious about his body.

I got out of the car and was making my way into the building when I heard someone calling my name. I turned to see Chris, my other best friend. Yeah, we kinda have the same name. Kris. Chris. He walked up to me and hugged me, "You look like shit." He said in my ear. "Trust me. I know." "Beautiful shit, nonetheless." He grinned, releasing me from our embrace. What the hell? There’s no such thing as beautiful shit. But then, that's Chris for you. "OMG…guys, have you seen the new students?" Lexi came rushing towards us.

Ever since Vida was a little girl, her grandfather would always give her books for Christmas and her birthdays. It started out with picture books until she could read and then she was a goner. He said with his eyes closed like he was falling asleep beside me, his head leaned back against the couch. His words hit me hard, causing my chest to tighten a bit. He was definitely worming his way into my heart. I could feel the walls being crushed down by his charm and good guy vibes. I didn't realize he was like this, but judging from what Zerena told me about her favorite memory, Percy seems like a good guy. 'Like I said. He has a pure heart.' Fane surfaced again. 'Yup, a rapist with a heart of gold. Got it.'

I smiled unknowingly and a weight was lifted off my chest but others replaced it. "I didn't say his name," Percy stopped, his eyes held mine in a locked question and he didn't say anything for a moment. ”We have to hurry.” Percy said. The fact that Percy was worried freaked me out. I had never heard of this Alpha Damien, only the little that Sam had told me but I was guessing that Percy had a better picture of who Alpha Damien was.

"She is, she's the smartest person I know and she's really pretty too." I smiled, this kid was adorable, "I bet she is." "Do you like superheroes?" He asked. "Yeah I think they're cool." "Me too, I like Spiderman the best." "Spiderman's a good choice, what about dinosaurs?" "I love dinosaurs, my favorite is the T-Rex because he's big and strong and nobody messes with him." "That's a really good choice, T-Rex is pretty awesome." He looked at my cart, "you buy a lot of food."

"Thankyou. Whats your name?" "Emily." She whispers shyly. Her sister walks up to us and gives me a small grin. "Im Emma, this one's sister. Incase you couldnt tell." Her posture is much more confident. I act surprised. "No way, really?" She rolls her eyes but they sparkle with humour. "Whats yours?" "Thalia." "Like the daughter of Zeus? Percy Jackson?" Emma questions, excited, the sparkle in her pale green eyes increasing. I snort. "Yeah, my mom is a fan through and through. Im pretty sure if i had a brother he'd be named Percy. Or Leo."

That weird man kept looking at us as we walked away. "Mom that man is looking like Aquaman..." Skyler giggled. "You shouldn't make fun of someone like this Skyler. It's bad..." I said. "But mom, Aquaman is handsome and powerful. He is god of ocean. It's a compliment. I am not making fun of him..." He defended himself. "You should stop watching marvels..." I said shaking my head. "It's DC..." He replied sassily and we both laughed.

"We're going to take it one step at a time, like Dane said. We'll figure it out as we go." Jax nodded in agreement. "Yeah. We're not alone in this, Percy. We've got each other. And we've got the vamps. Whatever happens, we'll all handle it. " Maybe they were right. Perhaps we could handle this, as impossible as it all seemed. "Thanks, guys," I said quietly. "I needed to hear that." Jo reached out and grabbed my hand. "We're going to be okay, Percy. I know it's scary, but we'll get through it."
