Scorpio shrieked as the light burned through his armor. The world vanished in brilliance. When the light faded, the desert was silent. Glass cracked underfoot. Leo and Scorpio lay shattered, their forms dissolving into scorched sand. Pelin exhaled and leaned into me. “Please tell me that worked.” I laughed weakly. “I think they fell for it.” Above us, Artemis clapped slowly, her smile sharp and delighted. “Oh, how beautiful,” she purred. “You never do fail to surprise me.” I tightened my grip on Pelin’s hand.

Lyceon shook his head and ripped him apart before plucking his heart out and tearing him from the front with his claws. The last alive guy wailed seeing the scene with his bloody eyes. Lyceon turned to him and smiled. He jerked back in fear thinking he was the next. He tried to pull out of the silver chains but his efforts went in vain. Aztec rolled his eyes and hit his head from behind for making noise. “Keep him for the examination.” Lyceon told Aztec who snorted with a laugh. “He would be perfect to use for.” Lyceon nodded and turned around to walk back. Aztec followed him outside before filling him with the latest news.

"I call that an incredibly seductive promise," Charon countered, leaning back slightly, letting the full force of his charm hit her. Jason says quietly, still looking at the card in my hand. “What? Why?” She asks as she snatches the card out of my hand. Her eyes go wide as she reads the card. “Damn girl! That’s so hot. Even DeeDee is purring right now.” DeeDee is Lacey’s wolf. I look up at her. “I know right?” She cocks an eyebrow, “Artemis, what do you think?” I can tell she’s still forward so my eyes must be glowing. Artemis smirks, “I’m going to eat my offering and enjoy every moment of it.”

He stylishly sniffed the air again before exhaling softly. “She’s got a scent” he whispered to Lucas who was fascinated by the pen he was holding, when last did he write on a book or even held a pen. “Told you time wasn’t really on your side” Lucas whispered back, but roman could hear the “I told you so” in his voice, Lucas had warned him that they couldn’t wait for the next full moon because she might be experiencing changes. Roman thought she’d have a scent by the full moon once she undergoes full transformation, now he knows he was wrong.

Wyatt turned to focus on Claris and I bent down to look at Artemis. “You see that, they already replaced you” I whispered in her ear so only she could hear. Her little eyes trailed over to the small pup in Claris’ arms and I could see the hurt in her eyes. “It’s because you were born a girl instead of a boy” I whispered once again. She glared at the baby, but then slid on her mask of indifference that she did when she didn’t care about anything. For a six year old she was actually quite strong and I knew she would be the perfect Luna once I groomed her to be so. Claris stood at Wyatt’s side and glared at me suspiciously.

“Little Lemon!” Mable rushed over and picked Lemon up. Lemon hugged her mother and pressed her cheek against her face, pointing at the butterfly in Jeremiah’s hand. “Mommy... Unc... Butterfwy...” Mable kissed her cheek. “Good girl.” Jeremiah looked at Mable and said, “Lemon kept crying earlier, so I thought she was unwell. It seems she just misses you after not seeing you all day...” Mable sighed in relief. She thought that Lemon was sick and was worried the whole way back.

Artemis explains, caressing her human carbon copy softly. "My necklace has special moon powers mummy?" Phoebe questions, eyes alight with wonder and amazement. "Yes my darling." Artemis chuckles. "Wow! I can't wait to tell daddy! And Bells and Tam-Tam!" An overexcited Phoebe giggles, jumping on Artemis' lap, not noticing that she was still, in fact, planted on the bed.
