Dearest Augustus, I know you don’t know me. None of you really got the chance to get to know me. I am sorry about that. I’m Percy, Ares’ dad. You may not remember me, but I remember you. You have always been an intelligent and strong child. I knew, watching you, that you would be just like your mother, to a fault.

The gesture was so tender, so quintessentially Oscar, that it nearly undid me. "What did you do?" he asked, his tone a mixture of curiosity and concern. I pulled back slightly, meeting his deep brown eyes. They were tired but full of life, that familiar enigmatic glint slowly returning. A small smile tugged at my lips as I considered how to explain. "I wasn’t strong enough to do it, but Artemis…" I began, my voice soft. "She gave some of her own power, her own life, to wake up Dionysus. To help him wake you up."

Dad (aka Brandon) and Papa (aka Zak) have led Artemis since the Moon Goddess Pack was founded. It’s been 20 years since then. My dads keep Mom’s memory alive, and we still get messages from her now and then—thanks to Uncle Dev and Auntie Arya, who can visit the Goddess Realm. Their twins, Alexander and Rowen, were born there and act like cosmic couriers, ferrying messages back and forth. They get bored fast, but it’s still amazing to draw pictures for Mom or send her school projects. Even though she’s not here physically, we’ve always had her in our lives.

Hera said softly, her voice almost lost in the music. "Not just power and glory, but connection and care, work and wonder, love shared freely between all beings, great and small." Artemis rode ahead, her deer moving with effortless grace as she scanned the road ahead – not for danger, but for the beauty that lay hidden in every shadow and sunlit clearing. Hermes skipped alongside them, occasionally darting ahead to explore a bend in the road or investigate an interesting-looking tree, always returning with stories to share and treasures to show.

Narcissa handed little Cleon over to Athena, making everyone laugh. Narcissa hugged Athena, “Don’t feel bad, Thena; I will always be your best friend. My brother is mean, Tristan and I good, Azazel recently learned to talk,” Narcissa blurted out in one go, kissing Cleon. Athena cared about nothing; she saw Azazel as nothing but a big nasty bully.

I don't think it's going to be difficult, considering that Arthur also always wakes up at 1 pm so there won't be a lot of orders. But why do I feel like he's going to ask me something weird? Arthur opened the plastic bag and took out one orange from there, he slowly peeled the skin and cleaned it before handing one to me.

Lucian walked away for a moment with Artemis. Bella called to Ares who came immediately and jumped in her arms. "When daddy comes back, do you want to see your little sister? You're a big brother now," she playfully pinched his cheeks. Ares was gentle with Artemis and he only held her hand before he was tired of being in one place. He was released to play again and soon he began to cry. Lucian soothed him and got to the bottom of the problem: Ares had to be changed.
