He stood up and got stern with me,

And what I was expecting was that your love for me was more than your fear of what happened to you.” He said as he headed to the door but turned before opening it, “If you remember, Selene,” Phoenix pointed to himself, “I was the one, tied to a chair, beaten, and had to watch my wife be raped by a man that works for her grandmother who wants her dead.” With that, Phoenix walked out the door, slamming it shut. My anger took hold of me and I threw a book at the door before collapsing to the floor in tears.
