“No, I just don’t have a nicotine problem.” They go back and forth, voices lowering into a bickering hiss that neither of them is fully committed to. I tune them out, taking another bite of my food, until I catch movement from the corner of my eye. Nate. He returns with quick, determined strides, holding something close to his chest. As he reaches the table, he slaps down a worn sketchbook, its cover bent and edges frayed from frequent use. I look up at him, confused. “What is this?”

He nods, “Right, I think that you can now consider that portion of your training covered. I’m sure you will find new and exciting ways to take people out once you can do a partial shift. You’ll have claws and teeth to add to the mix.” Nate walks to the bo-staffs that had been left ready to one side. “This should take more time to master, but you’re beating Sammy easily after not even two days. I have no doubt you’ll be just as capable with this soon.” Sammy grumbles,

“ Patience is the key! I need her to exhaust all her resources first that way it will be easy to deal with her. But for now start poking her investors bit by bit. And I need it done silently.” “ Yes Boss!” “ You can go now, I still need to review the new project” “ Yes boss!" Her focus was now back to the computer while he still stood there staring at her.
