Maybe they were doing us a favor, but they were the ones who placed us in most situations... For instance, they had control over resources due to their wealth and power. Resources that were essential, like healthcare, housing, and clean water, make accessing these services difficult without significant sacrifice. This should be available to everyone, but the reverse was the case.
Aside from that, the rich had perpetuated negative stereotypes about the poor, framing us as lazy and undeserving. This has influenced public policy, social attitudes, and even opportunities for the less fortunate.
