The Light To His Darkness

The Light To His Darkness

I felt ropes of hot come coat the walls of my vagina then everything went dark. Sun rays warmed my face and I groaned. I turned multiple times and I realized I wasn't in my bed because I would be on the floor after the second turn. I stretched and a large strong hand wrapped around my waist. The hand pulled me and my back hit his hard chest. I was confused for a minute then everything that happened the night before came rushing to my head and I groaned.

Assuming I find a way out of this fucking maze. My feet are sore and my body is stiff. My fingers are numb from cold and my nose has started to drip from the chill. But I keep walking. And then, just when I'm starting to give up hope again, I see it - a hazy bit of light above the top of one of the hedges. My steps quicken as I move toward it. I follow the hedge, keeping my eyes on the light. It's dim, diffused, but I recognize it now for what it is - light pollution from the house. It's not much, but out here at the estate, twenty minutes from Barberville or any other town, even the light from a couple of windows is noticeable. I keep the light in my sight and move toward it as much as I ca

The Billionaire's Baby Bargain

The Billionaire's Baby Bargain

With the door partially open, I can peak inside. It appears to be a library. I enter inside and am greeted with massive bookshelves that reach the ceiling, black leather chairs, and stained-glass windows. I hurry over to a window thankful that the flooring is a forest-green carpet that muffles my footsteps. I peer out the window trying to get an idea of where I am. It appears I’m facing the front of the house, I look to my right and see a small porch jutting out. I release a small breathe of relief. Hidden behind a bookshelf that’s shutting out, I find the door leading to the porchI open the door and for a moment, I’m stunned by the bright sunlight. Grace gives a whine letting me know she is

I really liked the story but HATE the ending, too much left hanging. I don’t think this was a good ending to the book even if there is a sequel. So now I’ll wait for hopefully a next one so there’s closure to so many unresolved issues.

is this book finished? I am getting near the end and where I'm at, there is a lot to wrap up in just a few chapters. I think this is a great story line, it has me anxious to find out how it will all out

 My Single Daddy Alpha.

My Single Daddy Alpha.

The automatic lights on my porch weren’t turning on. Before the break-in, the lights turned on pretty much as soon as I pulled to a stop. I had been so distracted with kissing Bratt that I never noticed they didn’t come on. But now that I was alone and that creepy stuffed wolf had been delivered to me, it felt like a deadly omen. That familiar feeling of being watched came over me again. It was more intense than the other day on the playground or when I’d gone on my run. I looked through the rear window to see if I could spot anyone, but the sheeting rain obscured my view. I leaned forward over the steering wheel and squinted at the house. But the house was too dark to see if anyone was movi

THE GAMMA'S DAUGHTER

THE GAMMA'S DAUGHTER

Carolina, The lights of the grand manor flickered like a dying flame as I stepped through the threshold, uninvited, unseen for years, but never forgotten. My heels echoed against the marble floors, the sharp rhythm slicing through the silence like a blade. I knew where he would be—where he always ended up when the world became too much for him. Drowning himself in whiskey, in bodies, in power. And tonight, I would be the ocean that pulled him under.

Secrets Written in Light

Secrets Written in Light

I lay there, catching my breath, as he spoke in hushed tones in the living room, his voice making my skin crawl. He returned, standing in the doorway. "Something urgent has come up at work, I need to settle it by today. Dinner's on the table. Wait for me. Or don't. It's your call." His words hung in the air as I clutched the blanket to my chest. The pain from this morning's ordeal lingered, then compounded by fresh scars. It was all too much to bear. After what felt like an eternity, I opened my eyes to the darkness that surrounded me — a stark contrast to the simple dreams Marvin and I once shared in our rundown apartment. Yet, he was never content.

Claimed By The Predator

Claimed By The Predator

Thorne's POV He left the light on. He never does that. The prey dorms are dim by default—soft, low lights that don’t burn the eyes, all part of the "comfort design." But his lamp is on. Still on. Casting a thin, syrupy gold glow over his desk, the floor, the foot of his bed. I don’t know if it’s a mistake. Or if he’s scared. Or if, somehow, somewhere deep down, he wanted me to see him like this.

The Top Boy Is My Mate

The Top Boy Is My Mate

Atlas The moon rose slowly over Blackwood’s northern towers, casting a muted silver glow through the frost-kissed windows of my room. Its pale light slithered across the thick patterned carpet, glinting off scattered reports on my desk, illuminating the cracked spine of an abandoned textbook near my boots. Shadows stretched along the walls like silent witnesses to my unrest.

Elaine of Artharia

Elaine of Artharia

Elaine mentally kicked herself as she moved towards the side of the white-washed manor. A few guards lingered in front of the entrance, talking about the weather and the pretty girls they had come across on their journey. If it didn’t take so much effort, Elaine would have rolled her eyes, but alas, the men weren’t worth it. The girl was about to begin her attack on the men when the sandalwood door suddenly flung open, and light pooled into the night onto the porch. Flickers of candlelight painted the men who exited the manor as they stood on the porch.

Pertanyaan yang Sering Diajukan

I stumbled upon 'Lights On - Clothes Off' while browsing for something lighthearted yet quirky, and it totally caught me off guard! The title itself is a playful hook, but the story goes deeper. It follows a group of college friends who start a bizarre midnight tradition—turning off the lights and sharing their wildest secrets or fears. The 'clothes off' part is more metaphorical, symbolizing vulnerability. The book blends humor with touching moments, especially when one character confronts their fear of intimacy. It’s not what you’d expect from the title, but that’s what makes it so memorable. The way it balances absurdity with genuine heart is what stuck with me.

What surprised me even more was how the author wove in subtle commentary on modern friendships. The characters’ nighttime confessions reveal how social media personas crumble when the 'lights go off.' It’s a clever take on authenticity, wrapped in ridiculous scenarios like a guy admitting he’s terrified of garden gnomes. The tone shifts seamlessly from laugh-out-loud to poignant, especially in the final chapters. If you enjoy stories that don’t take themselves too seriously but still pack emotional depth, this one’s a hidden gem.
