I feel a freezing wind whip through our fur, as more thunder sounds the arrival of the storm we have been anticipating for days. I can hear snorts and grunts from the pair near me, but I can’t lose focus. These rogues are here to kill us, get us out of the way for whoever they want to put into place. We are rolling, snapping, and clawing. I have slashed at this wolf’s side several times, and she’s bleeding profusely, but doesn’t notice or feel it. I hesitate for a moment. My heart pounded in my chest as I moved cautiously through the dimly lit and decrepit corridors. And then, I saw her—a she-wolf, wild-eyed and trembling, her Brown fur matted and unkempt. Her eyes, normally filled with clarity, were clouded by an otherworldly darkness. The very essence of possession seemed to emanate from her. "Easy now," I whispered softly, trying to maintain a calm and soothing demeanor. I knew that confronting a possessed soul was a delicate and dangerous task. I extended my hand toward the distressed she-wolf, my fingers trembling with the weight of my newfound powers.

David arched his brow, “she has no clue who you are does she?” I shook my head, “not a fucking clue, all she knows is that I own the club and just fucked the shit out of her.” Siting his drink down David laughed, “it won’t take him long to figure out who is buying her all this shit.” Leaning back in my chair I shrugged, “I don’t really care how long it takes him cause I’m not sure if I’m going to give her back or not.” David looked up at me shaking his head, “aw shit Lucas, have you found a new pet.”

"What the hell is that?" She glances at me without missing a beat. "It’s a possion. A strong one, but not the kind that kills. It’ll give her just enough strength to fight the magic calling her soul. It’s only gonna buy her some time though, so once she wakes up, she needs to leave fast. So, you want me to give it to her or not?"

His palms are large, hot, claiming, and the moment he touches me I feel sparks shoot through every nerve. “Oh my goodness,” he breathes, his smile stretching wider, amusement and hunger mingling across his features. My chest heaves, my mind spinning. I don’t understand anymore. This isn’t me. I know this isn’t me. And yet—what the fuck is happening? “Selene, you have to fight this!” Lisa’s voice cuts through the fog again, more urgent, pleading. “He is possessing you. He isn’t just another supernatural. He’s different. He’s doing something dark to you. You know if you give in, things will get worse—far worse than you can imagine. Lyra will never forgive you. Selene, fight this!”
