I say curtly, cutting her off before she has a chance to announce her presence.
She steps into my office, tablet hugged tightly to her side, her posture radiating tension that speaks volumes. “I’ve rerouted external consultants to a sandbox environment,” she informs me, the relief in her voice mingling with uncertainty. “They won’t notice the restrictions, but nothing they’ll touch will be real or valuable.”
“Good,” I reply, nodding in approval, acknowledging her swift action. “And what about our internal teams?”
“We’ve split the Helix team into three distinct cells,” she continues, her choice of words careful and deliberate. “No one person will have access to the entire picture.”
