It felt as though he were the one manipulating the puzzle. Seconds ticked by. The floor was silent except for the faint clicks of the shifting wooden pieces. Beads of sweat formed on Aria's forehead as her brows knitted together. It was painfully difficult. One wrong move would ruin everything. She couldn't afford to slip. She wasn't sure she could solve it, but she had to try. Then, suddenly, she froze. Her eyes gleamed. She had found the key step. With a soft click, one wooden piece came free. From there, she moved faster, dismantling and reassembling the puzzle piece by piece.

Everyone couldn't help but frown in discomfort. Zack was the only one who seemed like he didn't notice the smell at all, calmly taking the bones and chunks of flesh out of the bag. After a good six hours, he finally stopped to look at Officer Wright. "This is probably the victim's entire body." "Any new findings?" Officer Wright asked anxiously. Hearing this, Zack's expression turned serious. "The victim is missing a kidney." My breath caught upon hearing that I was missing a kidney. I smiled bitterly. It wasn't missing at all—after all, it was inside Zack.

It was an awfully big and complex puzzle for such a little girl. “What’s that?” I asked, pointing. She narrowed her eyes at me and closed the door a little further. “None of your business.” “You’re working on a puzzle?” I asked, ignoring her ire. “I just so happen to be a puzzle expert, you know.” Ella glared up at me through her eyebrows, displeasure evident in her gaze. Without a word, she looked away and retreated further into the room, pretending not to hear me. But she hadn’t locked me out, so I stepped inside and knelt down by the puzzle, carefully studying the pieces scattered around.

People around us started coming to their senses as they woke up inside the podium. “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to The Bloodlust Games, The final chapter” mum announced proudly. My eyes widened as the ground glowed beneath me, I tried moving out of the circle I was in only to realize that there was what looked like a force field wall which I couldn’t get past. I punched the wall twice, it glowed under the force. But that was all, I couldn’t move out of it as mum proudly explained the rules of the games.

There was another bold bloody written letter on the wall. YOU'RE LOCKED, SOLVE THE PUZZLE I muttered sh*t on my mouth. It was already told by the lady guarding outside that we'd walk a wrong path this will be happening. The place was so confusing cause aside from that it's dark the room also seems to be a path and it was a great trip. Now, we're heading into the small dusty table with a dusty folder above.
