"Impressive," one woman remarked when I answered correctly. But her smile didn’t reach her eyes. "I suppose you’ve had time to study Pack lore."

My tummy fluttered with butterflies at the thought and tints of blush made its way to my cheeks. 'Chill prishy baby, I know where your mind is going now. *Chapter 5: The Darkness* As the car approached, Emma's heart was racing. She covered Sarah's body with her own, bracing for impact. But instead of a collision, the car screeched to a halt just inches from their bodies. Emma's eyes were fixed on the car's door as it swung open. A figure emerged, tall and imposing. Emma's instincts screamed at her to run, but her body seemed frozen in place. The figure loomed over them, its features obscured by the shadows. Emma's heart was pounding in her chest as the figure reached out a hand.

He just needed to find the pattern in the puzzle. Lexi sat on his haunches with a huff and spun his brightly colored puzzle in his paws. His very deep concentration was displayed by his little pink tongue slipping out of the side of his mouth as he moved the pieces of the box around. It was too easy to get distracted by how cute Lexi was. Jinx just sat and watched him for a solid five minutes, ignoring his own puzzle box. That is until it bit him. Glaring at it in offense, Jinx figured out that he wasn't actually bitten, the pieces had shifted just enough to pinch his finger. He probably should get on with solving it before the pieces shifted into positions that couldn't be changed.

The passage wasn't really empty, as there was a burglary preventing them entrance. Heartman went to the side of the passage and found the box of the puzzle that would give them free passage. He observed it for some time and tried to understand the input before making any move because he didn't know how many attempts were left or how many times he could input the password for the burglary to roll aside. The last time he saw this was when he traveled around with his wife Nathalie; he hadn't really seen this particular type but had an unwavering hope of a possible outcome.

Matan was so amused that he just watched while she ate having finished his in-record time. This must be love, he thought. What else could it be. It isn’t obsession, he knew that for certain. His evil of a grandfather was obsessed with his son and all the people he could control, sadly for him it ended on a bad note.
