“Are you fucking serious, dad? Do you know why Rogue, Ghost and everyone is here right now?” He shrugged, still looking at Ghost. “They are here because they have a treaty with me and my club. I sell them guns. I sell them weed. Rogue learned the hard way what happens if you cross me. They aren’t so fucking stupid they discount everything I’ve ever fucking achieved. You are the only one stupid enough for that.” I sighed, rubbing my face with a gloved hand. “You know what? Fuck it.” Before anyone could react, I lifted my gun, and put one perfectly placed bullet right in between Pyro’s eyes.

The bridge beneath them groaned, the obsidian turning to liquid as their Shared Heat spiked with fury. "Mommy! The frequency is breaking!" Leo’s voice screamed in her ear. "You’re too angry! The bridge is turning into water!" Phoenix looked down. The magma was leaping toward her boots. She looked at Kael—at the gray light of his failing core, at the way he was physically rotting to be the floor she walked on.

Two more figures appeared on the other side, while two rogue wolves walked in front of them with their fangs bared. They weren’t just rogues. They were Pyromancers, usually hired by someone powerful, either a sorcerer or a werewolf. The worst part was, we hadn’t seen this coming. “Pyrrha… they’re using fire magic.” My thoughts trembled as I spoke to my wolf. [I know. Let me take over.] Her reply was quick. Fire slammed into the ground in front of our defensive circle. The heat forced the Gammas to step back. One of the rogues tried to break through the gap. I let out a small cry when I saw it leap.
