Pyro X Scout Novels & Stories

“What symbol?” The scout hesitated, then said, “A broken flame. Carved into leather.” My breath caught. Kael. It had to be. Draven exchanged a glance with me, his jaw set. “Get every patrol leader in position,” he said. “And prepare the eastern defenses. Quietly. No full alarm unless they breach.” The scout nodded and ran. Auren looked at both of us, sensing the shift in the air. “What’s happening?” I knelt and brushed the hair back from his face.

There was a metallic click sound on rocks. The eyes of Tyra opened. “They discovered us.” I could see movement of trees through the broken windows. Black figures falling down, coming down to the ground with no sound. Council Scouts. Their metal limbs shone in the dark, and their faces were covered by black visors. The latter one knelt and examined the ground with a sort of instrument. It stopped and cocked its head. Then it said into a communicator, “Target found, everything is united, communicate in thirty seconds."

Some kind of gravity urges me to lean into him, but I don’t dare. Eventually, he clears his throat and meets my eyes again. “When we scout, we go in pairs,” he says. “We could do that. We could be scouts together.” I understand what he’s saying. If we’re going to do this—and we have to do this—it can’t be like before. There can’t be a bad guy. So we’ll be in it together. “Okay. How do scouts work?” Some tension leaves his body. “Well, usually, one of us keeps an eye out for threats while the other looks for signs of prey.”

Thinking, Aria says, "I can't allow this to occur once more. I must remain resilient. The door is suddenly knocked on. With a moan, Xander sits up next to me. "Who could that be at this hour?" asked Xander. He moves to the door after getting out of bed. I sit up, feeling anxiety creeping back in and my heart pounding once more. One of the scouts is gasping for air and in a panic when Xander opens the door. Scout: "It's taking place once more. They're luring more pack members to the cliffs. Three of us have already lost.

Tor scanned the group of shifters who had assembled in front of him. "Ok, boys, the intel we gathered is saying that the burners are coming from the west. I want the alternating teams of scouts to make their way west and to return the night after with reports on what you find. The first team of scouts is Grayson and Arlo," Tor said pointing to Arlo and Grayson. Arlo let out a whooping howl and Grayson, a tall stalky man with a sleeveless fur vest and a scar over his left eye nodded solemnly.

“You think this is what protection looks like? You think Sage—that thing—can be trusted to lead us again? Look at them! Look at what he’s become!” The scout held his ground. “They were rogues. And he killed them. Alone. None of our guards did this. You and I both know they didn’t.” I was silent for a second. I hated that he was right. My fists clenched. “I’ll tell you what this means,” I finally said. “He’s getting bolder. He’s leaving behind messages. Look at these bodies—he’s sending us a warning.” The scout looked unconvinced. “Or he’s trying to help without being seen.”

XAVIER'S POV My fingers dug into the injured witch's arm, her pained gasps echoing through the moonlit forest. Colby, Cameron, and Devon accompanied me with determined expressions along with our trained warriors from the werewolf army. I couldn't take the chance of going without any preparation. We were a band of shadows moving through the tangled woods, chasing the elusive promise of Scarlet's hiding place. If Panton was really telling the truth, then there was no doubt that Scarlet would be the one to lead them to Cyrus. And once I get my hands on him, he will be done for.

Marco’s POV I looked around at the scouts, waiting for someone to step forward with a suggestion. It was essential that we not only successfully rescue Scarlett but also have a clear escape plan to get her and ourselves safely out of the Swiftclaw camp. One of the scouts, a young and agile warrior named Rook, stepped forward. "I might have an idea for the escape route," he said, his voice steady despite the weight of responsibility. "Please, share your plan," I encouraged, eager to hear his thoughts.

Captain Hiragi trains us himself. When we headed to the back of the camp where we train, the others were already there. There are only four of us- me, Marco, Josaiah, and Xy. I’m a marksman. I use an electrified steel bow that generates its own steel charged arrows. Marco Kleighs is an assassin. He uses daggers that poison the blood of the flesh it is pierced or slashed on. Even the smallest and slightest of cuts can kill the person in a matter of seconds. Josaiah Solace is the warrior, the fighter who has the best combat skills in the squad. He carries laser induced plasma twin blades that shade the color emerald. Xy Caurus is the creator or the inventor. He runs the ground game- creating

Inhale her sweet scent but it was all gone. He couldn't sleep at night afraid that if he kept sleeping he might miss the opportunity to find her. He hoped that one day she would show up in front of him. Let it be for hurting him. For scolding him or for killing him. He would accept everything with open arms just for the glimpse of his mate. His phone rang and he quickly answered. It was Lennox. "You predicted right," Lennox said. "That bastard went straight to a rogue pack, I think that pack belongs to Armando," Lennox said.
