Taking a Chance on Love: The Youngers Book 2

Taking a Chance on Love: The Youngers Book 2

And in the middle of the island was a small animal—a squirrel? Thea stepped as close to the edge of her side of the embankment as she could. No, it wasn’t a squirrel: it was a rabbit. Her heart squeezed when she saw that the rabbit kept going near the edge, as if checking if the water had gone down, only to turn around and try the same thing on the other side. The island itself was only about five feet in diameter. And given how much rain there had been, the rabbit could easily starve to death if it stayed there since there was no way the water would recede anytime soon. Thea glanced around. The current was too fast for her to wade into it, and who knew how deep it was? She’d be swept downst

Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King

Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King

I suggested, a hopeful beat in my tone. "No!" Raya shouted, yanking Miss Bon Bon back and cradling her against her chest as fresh tears spilled down her cheeks. "I don’t want another rabbit. I want Miss Bon Bon!" I flinched, feeling even more helpless than before. She was hurting so much, and I couldn’t stop it. I had to try harder. "Did you know," I began, lowering my voice like I was about to tell her a grand secret, "that a mother rabbit gives birth to at least five babies at a time?"

The Shadows of Archon

The Shadows of Archon

BoldR quipped back with a chilling glare. “Ha ha ha, she basically called you a teddy bear. Ha ha ha” Duncan choked out between fits of laughter. “I thought that you and your pack members could hunt wild game to fill the smoke house. Rabbits are pretty plentiful at this time of year.”Duncan calmed his laughter and looked at Cassia. Just then BoldR started to laugh. “ ha ha she’s got you chasing rabbits. Ha ha ha.” He then wiped a tear from his eye. “Okay half pint. He he he” Duncan agreed still chuckling.

Destined to love

Ben prompted as he saw Dana’s sad gaze on the lifeless rabbit. “It was short and swift… its didn’t suffer. Look” He wrapped his hands around her waist habitually as he raised the rabbit with the other. “Okay…okay…” Dana pushed the hand with the rabbits away hurriedly. ‘She didn’t want to see, okay?’ They trotted further chatting when Ben spotted a covey of quails among the bushy patch off the path.

“It was walking funny and its leg is broken.” Eician reached out to gently stroke his fingers along the soft brown fur of the rabbit. It was tiny, even for a rabbit, and barely filled the lanky teen’s arms. Skye walked up beside them after delegating the tea pouring duties to Dahlia, his hand taking on the familiar silver glow of the Healing Sight. Eician followed suit although he didn’t have the same ability that Skye had. For him, the view of the rabbit’s body was blurry and hard to make sense of, but the damaged leg was easy to spot once he focused.

The Pack's Emissary

The Pack's Emissary

Outside of Trayrock, Present Time “I’m not sure that I like rabbit,” Aislen admitted as she sucked down the second one that she’d caught. “The blood is watery. It’s like the dieter’s version of blood. And,” she paused to pick fur from between her teeth. “The fur gets stuck between your teeth.” “There are worse animals,” Talen said with the certainty of experience as he tidied their kill pile. “Like what?” Heath asked - as much to keep the conversation going as out of curiosity.

The Lycan King's Blade

The Lycan King's Blade

She began to frantically paw at the dirt and stone near the crack. A rabbit bounded up to her, and she skipped backward, a terrified yip escaping her. The rabbit squeezed into the small opening and Cassidy snarled. The animal was blocking her only means of escape. The weight of hopelessness began to squeeze her, choking her. Until dirt sprayed from the hole, a chunk of rock catching Cassidy on the end of her muzzle. The rabbit bounded out quickly, thumping the wall with a foot. Cassidy dove into the crack, forcing her way through, scrabbling at dirt and stone to make the way big enough to allow her passage.

The Silver Moon’s Cursed Luna

The Silver Moon’s Cursed Luna

But first— he need to sent a message across to Devon. He needed answers. If Jordan Kadel was truly who he suspected… then Crestmoon Pack would already be in chaos. He was still deep in thought when something brushed against his leg. Once. He ignored it. It brushed against him again. Draven opened one eye in annoyance—and froze. A small white rabbit stood near his feet. Its fur was pure and bright, almost glowing under the shade. Its eyes were sharp and intelligent, not wild or afraid. Rare... Very rare. “…What are you doing here?” he muttered.

The Queen's Pawns

The Queen's Pawns

The rabbit anxiously asked her as she pulled her ears down making a total cute image in front of the viewer. Hellion blinked her eyes and said. “ Can I touch those?” She pointed her finger on her ears expectantly. The rabbit shook her head and drilled herself on the wall. Hellion retracted her arm, disappointed. Xegris then appeared behind him and glanced at the trembling rabbit lady. He raised his brows at Hellion and then pulled his attention towards the innkeeper. “We’d like to check out.” He said with a smile.

Frequently Asked Questions

As a longtime fan of animal characters in stories, I’ve always found the gender of rabbits to be a fun topic. In many classic tales like 'Watership Down' or 'Peter Rabbit,' rabbits are often portrayed as male, but that’s more about tradition than biology. Real rabbits don’t have obvious gender differences unless you’re a vet or a breeder. In anime and games, rabbits can be anything—take 'Usagi' from 'Sailor Moon,' who’s a girl, or 'Reisen' from 'Touhou,' who’s also female. Meanwhile, 'Bugs Bunny' is famously a boy. So, rabbits in fiction can be either, but in reality, you’d need to check under the hood to be sure.
