Novel & Cerita A Dark Rabbit Has 7 Lives

He keeps the rabbit pelt in his helmet, and occasionally I catch a glimpse of impossibly white fur. When we stop for the night, deciding to camp out under the stars on a remote shoreline, I wait until Nash is a sleep before rolling over and pulling out my phone to call Arnold. He’s been a great lifeline to me, especially now that my parents are gone. “What do you know about moon rabbits?” I ask. “They’re incredibly rare,” Arnold tells me. “They’re only born during a lunar solstice and they only appear to shifters with pure hearts.” “Are they always white?” I ask.

Almera asked her eyes sparkling. “I am planning to charge…” Mira scratched her head and pouted “I was going to ask you how much you pay for a rabbit.” “Ha…ha…ha...” Almera laughed as pinched Mira’s cheek and rang the bell for her footman. “Tyle, how much can I buy a rabbit for?” “A plump rabbit would be 3 gold coins without fur and 4 gold coins with fur. A normal one would be 2 gold coins without fur and 3 gold coins with fur.” Tyle paused “Madam that is if you are lucky to get one.”

From the looks of its big white fluffy tail, the rabbit would be somewhere between 6’9 or 7’7 tall. I clutch the book tight on my chest again and glanced at the book. This would not be enough for a weapon on a 7’7 rabbit. I’m only a short 5’4 woman for god's sake! The white fluffy tail twitched, I stiffen and all my muscles froze while I held my breath as the shadow of a white animal loomed up. I stared straight ahead to the bookshelf across from where I was standing. And darn I was right when its height was 7’7 flat! Oh, plus those long ears, their height would be 8’6 or something.!

Then, with an impressively fast speed, she threw the blanket aside and crawled over to the package lying on her bed. "Oh no!", she moaned in sorrow, her hands trembling as she reached out to pull the reddened last part of the material away. Beneath it laid a rabbit, his black fur sticky with blood. Around its neck was a thin silver chain with a glass heart and it was breathing laborously, too exhausted to even make a noise.

The dark is bad. The dark is just dark, he said. Nothing in it. But you can’t see. No, he said. You can’t see. He fed her himself. Small bites. A story about a rabbit who was also scared of the dark and learned to count stars instead. Liyana ate and listened and by the third verse she had uncurled slightly, her feet finding their way to his knee. By the time she finished eating she was mostly herself again. Can I watch the fish show, she said.

"Think of it as a straw, not a floodgate." I touched the rabbit’s fur through the bars. The spark was tiny, a flicker of gold compared to the bonfire of the wolves I’d attacked. I felt the connection, the familiar pull. I closed my eyes and tried to visualize the "door." I pulled a tiny thread of heat, then slammed my mental focus shut. I pulled my hand back, gasping. The rabbit was shivering, but it was still breathing. It was still alive. "Better," Nyla said, though she didn't smile. "You have a natural aptitude for it. Most Siphons kill their first ten test subjects."

I fired twice, the bullets whistling past his ears so closely they took the hair with them. "Damn, those ears would make fine wall decorations." Dante chuckled besides me, behind him a loud muffled scream, filled with agony, rings in this cold and dark basement. Dante is one of my trusted advisor, one that can match me and understand me in the same deranged manner. "The fourth one is almost gone, though," He noted. I shifted my gaze to the next target. "Revive the one in position four," I told the medic standing by the wall as I emptied the magazine.

“So is solitary confinement, from what I’ve been told.” “It’s simple,” he says as we start toward the kitchen. “Don’t get caught.” I shake my head and smile, knowing he’s joking…but also that he’s not. “How’s it going?” I ask Tabatha. She’s sitting at the kitchen table, reading through a spell book. “I found a reversal spell. It requires three human ribs, and I’m fresh out.” She raises her eyebrows. Now I know she’s joking. “I suppose I can dig up that body again,” Lucas offers. “And then bury it for the third time.”

The different color furs against the snow blended together making it difficult to see what was happening on the ground. I pushed my owl vision forward and watched the different motion wavelengths move about the snowy field. ‘The Dark Alpha will be running in the opposite direction… We need to find him now!’ letting my owl spirit know, we couldn’t waste any time; the further away he got, the worse the situation would be. I didn’t even know how long the gift of strength from the moon goddess would last. ‘Don’t you think you should have asked that question before you agreed to this suicide mission of death?’ Ember tutted at me in annoyance.

You fucking bastard! I narrow my eyes at him, taking note of his features in case I miraculously survive this encounter. His hair is a dark auburn, and his eyes that watch me with amusement, are a dark blue. His attire was a black suit which seemed out of place considering he was standing in an alleyway. A mustard tie broke up the blackness of the suite, a badge with the initials 'R.T' easily visible as the light reflected off of it. If I manage to escape, I want to be confident that'd I'd be able to have this bastard put behind bars.
