Lydia est une fille très brillante dont les parents avaient au moins le nécessaire pour subvenir à leurs besoins. Depuis la classe de Seconde elle s'était mise en relation amoureuse avec Johny, un jeune garçon étincelant aimé par tous ses professeurs au collège. Johny était vraiment amoureux de Lydia et cette dernière aussi l'aimait de tout son coeur. Ils s'entraidaient dans tous les exercices jusqu'à ce qu'ils obtiennent leur Baccalauréat. La situation des parents de Johnny était pire que celle des parents de Lydia. Le père de Johnny était un mécanicien et sa mère une revendeuse. Contrairement aux parents de Lydia dont le père était un professeur certifié et la mère une couturière. Après l'obtention de leur Baccalauréat, Lydia décida de venir en aide à son petit ami pour qu'il se rende à l'Université. Johny eut l'idée de siéger définitivement dans une Zone proche de l'Université mais Lydia ne voulait pas qu'il s'éloigne d'elle. Elle paya alors la première tranche de l'école choisie et assurait aussi son déplacement. Ainsi, Lydia pourrait à tout moment voir son Johny vue qu'il ira à l'École privée tout comme elle. Tout était comme sur des roulettes. Johny faisait des cours de maison pour satisfaire ses besoins et évite de trop tendre la main à Lydia grâce à ce petit Job. Il réussit à payer la suite de la somme de l'école choisie malgré que Lydia avait promis de l'aider. Lydia s'était inscrite en Sciences Juridique et Johny en comptabilité et gestion. Ils étaient heureux dans leur relation. Malgré que les copines de Lydia lui conseillaient d'abandonner le pauvre Johny, elle faisait la sourde oreille et se collait à son amoureux.

She despaired, her mind breaking until she eventually stopped breathing too… But she opened her eyes again and found herself returning to the day before she married Mark, whom everyone called the Starr family's live-in son-in-law. Smiling through her tears, she told herself that she wouldn't choose him again in this life.
