Eversince that dreadful day, Cornelio often forgot to leave some food for him and if ever he did remember, the amount was so little, it just tickled his intestines. Sometimes, he would resort to eating whatever food he could find in the trash when he felt really really hungry. He laid motionless on the floor near a kennel as Cornelio looked for a box where he could put him in. “Polly! Polly!” he heard Chunky’s voice. Weak as he was he opened his eyes. “You gotta get out of here, Polly! “Wh-what?” he said trying to lift his head up. “Just listen to me… Get out of here, now! They are gonna kill you!”

It was 6 o'clock morning, Parth woke up before ringing of the alarm. He was little frustrated. He couldn't leave the competition at this point and his grandpa was angry at him for playing. He had no idea what to do now. He had no option but to play. He dragged his chair in the balcony, took his book and started reading. He thought, " from monday, after the competition, i'll focus only on my study. No playing game nothing afterwards till the final exam. Anyhow i have yo get the scholarship and get admission in that college. "

The dimly lit bar pulsed with music and laughter, a contrast to the turmoil brewing in Marco's mind. Everyone's faces were barely seen because of the darkness and lights from the club's dance floor. Crowds swayed in response to the strong beat of the music, excitement lingering in the air along with the strong odour of alcohol. Marco, a twenty-two year old intern, sat on the velvet stool, swilling down various glasses of alcohol. “More..” He slurred, his breath reeking of alcohol as he extended his empty glass to the bartender, gesturing for him to refill it.
