Red Dragon Novel Novels & Stories

Hello, everyone! This is XSkylar19. It has been a very interesting ride for me while writing Bane of the Dragons because (fun fact) this was my very first dragon genre. I know some of you probably disliked how everything turned out or how fastpaced everything happened but know that this was intentional as I couldn't drag the story on. Anyway, while this book becomes the first book for dragon genre, it certainly wasn't my first book in the fantasy genre.

The prince of the rouges growled. Drake was panting, gasping for air. He closes his eyes, feeling the presence of the beating heart. As he opened his eyes, it was blood red. He wore the devil's eye. It was cold, dark, mysterious, and dangerous. The prince of the rouges steps backward, trembling. He didn't try to struggle off the chain; he just wore his dangerous lopsided grin.

The guards instantly snapped to attention, their hands dropping to the hilts of their longswords. ​"Halt! Who goes—" the lead guard started, but the words were cut short. ​I didn't give them a chance to finish. I channeled the volatile core of dragon energy directly into my palm, letting a dense, swirling mass of dark crimson and black flames manifest across my skin.

Naham and Roman were nervous as they clung to their mates, watching a large group of hybrids line up near Atticus. Atticus spoke to his people and promised that their forever home was almost ready. The king looked toward Naham and Roman, but both were too frightened to leave their mate's arms. Atticus smiled at Naham and Roman, and then, the next moment, Draven burst out of his body like an explosion. His long tail stretched out behind his body, and his claws sank into the ground. His eyes burned with fire, and he looked directly at Naham and Roman. The area between his scales seemed transparent, allowing one to see the fire burning inside the large beast. The soft rumbling from Hunter can be felt in my chest. I strain my vision and see Ryan fighting in his human form, taking on two men who look crazed. I growl and look to the side, seeing Jason and Midnight fighting not far from Ryan. As I get above the border I unleash my dragon's breath on a rogue who’s sneaking up behind Ryan. He screams in pain as his body burns. Ryan turns his head quickly to see what is happening and watches as the rogue falls to the ground lifelessly. He snaps his head back in the direction of the two other rogues he was fighting and sticks his hand through one’s chest, ripping his heart out.

They all scattered on the dark floor. The Emperor took one notebook, opened it, and read. “The Way of Dragons,” he skimmed the pages. “Fascinating …” Then he handed it to Quarth. “Please … spare my drafts …” Tears started fall on the floor, right under Estevan’s bloodshot eyes. “What’s this?” the Emperor picked another and read. “The Chronicles of Drava …” “No … Not that … please …” Estevan begged. “Not that … Your Eminence …”

I asked, seeing the first novel was about a princess and a beast, the second book was about a poor lady that had only one wish to marry the wealthiest dragon, and the third one, how to seduce a male dragon. "Are you kidding me? So I should read on how to seduce a male dragon? Is that what you females are mostly up to here?" I asked Abigail in shock after reading the novel titles, and my yellow eyes burned at Abigail again, but she smiled and took the book of how to seduce a male dragon away.

As he moves, I see his shape morph and he shifts into a blue dragon only a few inches smaller than Lilliana’s black and green form, his blue scales matching the shade of his eyes. I stand there amazed at what I am seeing, I never even considered that Drake was a dragon too, and now I see it with my own eyes I can understand why they are a better match than she and I would ever have been. “By the Gods!” The people around me exclaim as Drake unleashes his rage against my brothers’ men for harming his wife and I see the men panic and try to escape, but it’s too late for them.

He started to squeeze Louis's neck tightly. Louis started to struggle to free himself away from Drake. But Drake is furious and all he wanted to do right now is kill the man in front of him. By his scent, Drake immediately recognized the other man as a red dragon. Red dragons have a very sinister smell associated with them. "A stupid red dragon" he roared angrily. Louis became purple with a lack of oxygen. His strength is a no match in front of Drake. He is the most powerful living dragon in the world. Soon Louis stopped struggling and Drake let him go after he confirmed that the man is dead.

"Roosevelt, lost in madness, stared with eyes full of bloodlust. Eloise smiled, mocking him. 'I told you I would ruin you, Your Majesty. May bitterness and sorrow be your eternal companions.'" Micha's brows tightened. "She provoked a man who already lost everything. That's suicide." The next lines formed slowly, dramatically. A roar shook the skies. Not human. Not beast. Ancient. "A dragon appeared. Black scales, silver eyes, wings stretching wider than any castle. It landed with pride, lowering itself before Roosevelt." Both of us froze. A dragon. A real dragon. Even the book seemed to tremble on the page. The dark-winged creatures bowed. The dragon bowed to Roosevelt.
