I took his hand in mine, and together we swam away from the boat and over to the reef. Coral in the shape of giant fans reflected purple in the sun below us while orange fronds waved smoothly in gentle sway of the water. Colorful fish darted through the rising coral and swaying sea fronds like dancers. Parrotfish with their bright scales moseyed along the reef, watching us with curious eyes. A stingray swam below us in graceful flight before disappearing into the dark of the water. Blue tang, angelfish, trumpet-fish, and myriads of shiny, tiny minnows moved through the reef with amazing ease, filling the ocean floor with color and movement.

I closed my eyes, snuggling against his warm and strong frame while he brought us all the way down to his family’s vacation home by the sea. I have been here several times as Aunty Artemisia loves it here, but I shiver pleasantly at the thought that I’ll be all alone with my mate now. Not even Omegas are here to tend to us, and I can’t wait to have him all to myself. A splash resounds in the water, and Kai resurfacing right next to me, tears me out of my dreamy thoughts. Damon’s POV The ocean air smelled like a promise I wasn’t sure I believed in. I leaned back against the lounge chair on the terrace, drink sweating in my hand, watching the sun bleed into the sea. Everything was perfect. Or at least it looked that way. Kiara had outdone herself with the vacation. Five-star resort tucked away on the cliffs of Cape Haven. Infinity pools. A private beach. Sunrise yoga she claimed was “healing for the spirit.” We’d only been here a few days, but I could already see the plan behind her smile—start fresh, rekindle what we had, wipe Isabella from my bloodstream like she was just a phase I’d grown out of.

The restaurant was almost empty, just a handful of honeymooners and one older couple who smiled at us like they knew exactly what we’d been up to. The hostess led us to a table right on the edge of the deck, literally over the water. Schools of tiny neon fish darted beneath the glass floor panels. Rhett pulled my chair out, then stole it for himself and tugged me onto his lap instead. The waitress didn’t even blink, apparently this was standard honeymoon behavior here. He ordered for both of us in that ridiculous French-Polynesian accent he puts on when he’s trying to impress me: mahi-mahi with vanilla sauce, fresh tuna tartare, and something involving passion-fruit that made my mouth water.

"I will always wait for you, Roy; there's nobody but you," he said before walking out. ☆☆☆ We made the decision to go snorkelling, so Giovanni arranged a private cruise for us to do so. It was a lovely experience. Looking at these brilliantly coloured fish was certainly a sight. I couldn't help but smile, and I must say that this honeymoon exceeded my expectations. I was gushing about how lovely and colourful the corals were as I sat on Giovanni's lap, with him occasionally running his nose down my jawline and sneaking little kisses here and there.

Coron, Palawan 5:00 pm We checked-in to Bacau Bay Resort in Coron and got a VIP room for our honeymoon. The place is very wonderful and scenic.
