Resurrection Spells Novels & Stories

"I just did what you said. I brought it back. I—" The mouse runs to me. Nuzzles my hand. Affectionate. Loving. Loyal. "That's not normal resurrection." Erebus observes. Flickering closer. Examining. "That's something else. That's life magic. Pure life. Not death reversed. Life created. Life given. Life made from nothing." "That's impossible." The Reaper says flatly. "Life magic doesn't exist. Only death magic and its reversal. Only taking and giving back. Not creating new. Not making from nothing. That's god-level power. That's—"

But that wasn’t just the explanation. “Stories were told,” She paused. Again, witches were really good at listening to stories. Amanda dug her books again until she found the one she was looking for. She flipped a few pages until it was the page she intended to show. A myth about the resurrection spell. “When someone was resurrected from the dead, you could do many things to them — like making them forget about their past or making them do your bidding. Whoever resurrected Mira surely didn’t want her to find out about her past.”

"I did. It was all I could think about. His stupid face would get out of my head. I wanted to smash it in." I eyed the man in the egg. "I could bet you love him now. A revival spell is the worst of all. You have to find someone with a compatible spirit to the patient to cast this spell and even at the end, the person can still die. It's a shame." My nails sharpened. "Are you threatening me or what?" "Or what. This is easily pierced. One pinch and that would be it. I wonder if he will die right away." "You won't harm him."

I said softly, “what does it say?” He hesitated, eyes still glued to the page. “It says a witch who uses dark magic to return from the dead binds her soul to something else or someone else. Her power becomes unstable. Unnatural. It destroys balance.” My breath caught. “So she really could have come back?” He nodded slowly. “Yes. But if she did, it means she used something ancient. Something forbidden. This kind of resurrection is not rebirth, Lessie. It’s corruption. And the last time it was used, it nearly destroyed the entire witch realm.”

"You think you're clever? You think hiding behind some offshore banking trick is going to save you from me?" He leaned closer, his warm breath fanning across my pale skin, his voice dropping into a dark whisper that sent a cold shudder running down my spine. "Let me remind you of Section 14 in our marriage agreement," Banjo murmured, his eyes locking onto mine with a sickening, triumphant arrogance. "The cross collateralization clause.".

I shrugged, “Why not? People are lining up.” “Yeah,” the guy shrugged in agreement. “Who do you think will win in this battle?” His question made me pause. Drawing from my father’s teachings, I recollected that every pack possessed distinct strengths. Some packs excelled in physical might, especially those closely connected to Lycans. Others were adept at using black magic, they often were hybrids of black witches and werewolves. Certain packs even boasted remarkable immunity to poisons.

said Albus. "Can The Heart of Magic resurrect a dead soul?" asked Astrid. Albus shook his head. “The Heart of Magic can awaken a sleeping dragon in hibernation with an intact dragon magic stone. However, The Heart of Magic cannot resurrect sentient beings who have died or with destroyed spirits,” replied Albus. "Oh..." replied Astrid. She fell silent with a depressed look on her face. Albus fell silent again. "Tell me, what's so special about The Heart of Magic?" asked Astrid.

"This isn't a long-term solution. You must find the person who placed the curse on you and have them lift it." Recalling the nun's words, I threatened the woman who was bawling her eyes out in front of me, "The curse bounces back twice as hard, Mirabelle. You don't have long. If you don't make the caster undo it, you'll be dead in a few days!" Frightened out of her wits, she stopped crying and spilled everything. "The caster is Elias Frostback from my village. He came to me one day and asked if I wanted to marry a rich man. Of course, I said yes.

"I found a similar ritual in one of my spell books." From the way Asher’s voice was darkening, I knew that I wasn’t going to like whatever it was that he was about to say. Behind him, Haidan and Antoine had looks of discomfort, further strengthening my hunch. "The only spells that involve that many sacrifices and that many separate rituals are ones that involve revival." Asher's words slammed into me, and the world seemed to cease to exist around me. A revival ritual... Who could they possibly be trying to revive?

I couldn’t lose them both. Astrid was furious. Beta Brighton was very important to Astrid. She was in pain, too, you just couldn’t see it the way you could see Brinsle’s. Brinsle’s pain continued to grow. Immediately, she began chanting. It was an ancient language, one neither of us recognized. Some sort of resurrection spell, I assumed. Astrid locked eyes with mine. We stared at each other, uncertain of what to do. Should we run? Brinsle was very powerful. She’d just tried to kill Astrid and had killed her brother by mistake. Right now, Brinsle was preoccupied with her brother. She was performing some sort of spell in a desperate attempt to get him back.
