The Professor, My Mate

The Professor, My Mate

The further I read, the more outrageous it became. I didn’t even finish before I turned to him, disgust clouding my expression. “Listen, Ruben,” I began, steady but sharp. “I’m not saying you haven’t done anything worthy of recognition. I’ll grant that one of the reasons we’re a step ahead of the rogues is because of your intervention. But you have to consider the fact that you’re not a permanent member of this pack.” Ruben’s eyebrows furrowed. “What does that have to do with what I wrote?” he asked, his tone balancing between politeness and irritation—maybe even frustration.

Human, You Are Delicious

Human, You Are Delicious

"No, I've only heard you guys talk about him. Last time Lou was the one who mentioned him. You've made me very curious. Now I really want to meet him." "Well, Mr. Rubin is not the kind of guy you can meet whenever you want to. He works for some of the biggest guys in New York. Even though he's on the street, he's a decent guy. You know what I mean? He's different from us." He was not only able to gain the respect of his subordinates, but also instill the idea of hierarchy in them so subtly at the same time. This tactic was somewhat impressive. For this alone, I wanted to learn from him.

His face was scratched out, but his hands were raised, like he was worshipping the creature. “The old legends about the rubies claim that they were formed from the fires of hell,” Karl explained, tapping the illustration with one finger. “But there’s more to it than that, as I’ve recently discovered. Ellen excavated this book from the mountain and sent it to me. Upon translating this text, I believe it’s possible that the rubies weren’t just formed from sulfuric heat, but by intent.” “Intent?” I stared at him.

Obsidian Eyes
I really enjoy this novel and hope to see more, as it’s been 2 months. I miss the original cover and how it reflected the FL’s strength and leadership. The new cover suggests a very different kind of story. Please bring back original cover, or hope future artwork better reflects the story.

I love this story! 594 chapters in and I still find myself captivated by it. The characters, the world building and the evolving nature of everything is so fascinating. I’d love to see what happens next, and I really hope this continues!

When Arrows Fly

When Arrows Fly

I could still feel the ghost of them, the light touch of her lips oj mine as I descended upon her, startled of my own clumsiness. I would like to try to touch them again only if the heavens permitted it. I am pretty sure that they are as soft as they looked. After a while though, Rubin turns to me and asked,,“How come you are here?” “What do you mean? This is my home–in case you haven’t notice that.” She rolled her eyes at me and pouted, looking adorably cute. I purposely shook my head and directed a glare at her direction, disliking the influence she has on me.

ENRAGED SOUL

ENRAGED SOUL

RUBIN'S ROOM Rubin chuckled softly, turning back to his laptop with his back facing her, "Stop spilling rubbish, Laura", he mumbled, typing something on his machine. "Who says I don't smile, I'm not a non-living thing or something of that sort. I'm human so I definitely smile". He glanced back at Laura who had her eyes fixed on him with a sardonic, mischievous smile.

My BEAST HUSBAND

My BEAST HUSBAND

Ed just didn’t want to disrupt her enthusiasm. “And I might need to hear a direct review because I need a reason to finish it.” Ed showed a bookmark stuck about a third of the way into the book. “This book isn’t my favorite type, but I’ll finish it later. It seems like there are many interesting parts to come.” Ed didn’t say the book was bad, just that it wasn’t his preferred genre. “Yes. The further you go, the more interesting it gets. Many things aren’t apparent at the beginning.” Ruby clarified, glancing down at the book and turning through its pages.
