Osprey’s face twisted in anger. His irritation was plain to see.
“You are mistaken. Cressida is promised to me, and they have kept her away for far too long. She is mine.”
The ethereal voices laughed. My body lifted from the ground, lightly hovering over the floor. A slight wind came off from the power emanating from me, making my hair swirl around my face like I was underwater. Although my body wanted to twist and bend from the immense energy I held within, I fought against it. I wanted the Usurper dead, as did whatever lived in me.
