Robert Pattinson As Cedric Novels & Stories

Having his sight last December hadn't saved him from danger, and now he was even more vulnerable. An assassin almost certainly hired by Sir Hugo Waverly had tried to kill him last Christmas. The assassin had almost succeeded, and it was because of this Cedric had lost his sight. Trapped in a burning cottage with his sister Horatia, he truly thought they were going to die. At the last moment, Lucien Russell, the Marquess of Rochester, had found them and dragged them both bodily from the burning building as flames leapt around them. The last thing Cedric remembered was the sound of a wood beam groaning as it broke from the ceiling and collapsed on his head, forcing him into this world of darkn

he grunted under his breath. Derik felt a chill of terror. William’s resentment of the man that’d kidnapped his daughter was just ineffable—far greater than he’d imagined. “He goes by the name Cedric,” he started off, then dropped a photograph of Cedric on the desk and continued. “He served as provost marshal general in Fallout’s army and as SIAS officer in Fallout defense department before moving down to this city shortly after his retirement.” From the corners of his eyes, he saw that Lawrence’s interest had been piqued.

Cedric’s hand brushed Clara’s arm as they took their seats, the subtle gesture sparking a knowing look between them. Marcus began, his tone even but purposeful. “Cedric, your presence here has been invaluable. You and your people turned the tide of the battle. For that, you have my gratitude.” Cedric inclined his head respectfully. “We were honored to fight alongside your pack.” Marcus’s sharp gaze softened. “You’ve proven your loyalty, but I sense there’s more to your intentions here.” Cedric met his eyes, unflinching. “There is. I’ve found something I never expected.” He glanced at Clara, his expression momentarily tender before returning to Marcus. “Clara is my second-chance mate.”

Pushing him to the side with a bag of junks and some groceries were his brothers and Adrian. “Please tell me you all haven’t hired a psychic to keep her eyes on me?” Cedric moaned. Even though he had been craving for the presence of people, he didn’t expect to see them just by the mere thought of it. “There is no one in here. Isn’t that a pleasant surprise?” Eric yelled out to the others as he stepped out of Cedric room. “What do you mean?” Cedric asked, staring at them confused. Oscar laughed, “appears we aren’t the only one having a boring weekend.”

And, now, the faintest breeze, picking up and drifting through the room. The click of Cedric’s heels draws both Brendan’s and Elton’s attention. “Where are you going?” Elton asks. Cedric, already across the floor, spares him a disinterested glance. “This,” he says, “-is not my fight.” Elton stares at him like he’s lost his mind. Cedric, however, without further explanation, disappears on the arm of his attendant. Just as he vanishes with the denotative green glow of the Gifted teleport, a stream of soldiers rush into the room, weapons raised to defend their duke.
