Upon entering the kitchen, I was immediately greeted by the rich aroma of whatever Robin was cooking. She was hunched over the stove, her brow furrowed in concentration as she stirred a pot. The sizzling sound of cooking filled the room, mingling with the soft hum of the refrigerator.

Then they just stared at each other, as if their ability to converse had just disappeared. "Well." Robin cleared her throat. "I guess we should introduce ourselves. "Robin Hanna." She held out her hand across the table. She had one moment of panic, wondering if she should have told him her name. Then she gave a mental shrug. She'd just have to believe Jonas when he assured her the Russians had no idea where she was. "Trey DeMarcus." He took her hand and enveloped it in his warm one. "Nice to meet you, Robin Hanna. Is that Robin with an i or a y?"

I pull it off the rest, hiding it behind me. "It's okay, we don't mind if you read it," he says, expressionless, not looking up from his task. Mr Brown leaned in, "Do they by chance sleep in each other's rooms? I mean have you seen them in each other's rooms?" The cook's eyes widened in surprise. Did Mr Brown expect her to answer such a question? No way. "No sir. I haven't seen them." Even though the cook remembered seeing both of them in each other's rooms a few times, she still denied seeing them. Disclosing that type of information would cause her to be tagged as a snitch. Not a very good label. "Thank you for being honest with me." Mr Brown appreciated the cook even though he was satisfied with her answers.
